What do You Sing on the Hike Out?

I don’t sing on the hike in or out, at least not out loud. Usually it’s just in my head and usually just on the way uphill. For some reason Jimmy Hendrix “whipping post” comes to mind, but only the one line, “good lord, I feel like I’m dyin” over and over…..and over

18 and Life, Mr Brownstone, other hair metal, and probably the last thing I heard that goes with my cadence when I got out of the truck. I always sing something somewhat loudly walking around in bear country at night.

I usually think and talk to myself about what things I did really well, what things I could have done a lot better on and what I need to work on. I go over dishes and what things I’m going to try at home and turn into business ideas for future chef events etc. I grew up only child, single parent and have always solo hunted so talking to myself is second nature

I don’t sing out loud. No grizz or hogs where I hunt but I do sometimes have a tune in my head. Usually my high school graduation song. “Here I go again on my own, goin down the only road I’ve ever known, like a drifter I was born to walk alone, but I’ve made up my mind, I ain’t wasting no more time, here I go again.”

Not out loud, but I’ll sometimes do “the ants go marching” just make up what they do for each number.

Oh, you don’t like hiking four miles out to baby shark?

So many renditions of this song that you can make up, it endless. I mean you can insert whatever animal, phrase, activity you want to this tune and keep yourself occupied and aggravated at yourself for hours on end.
