What did you do in the reloading room today?

Finished the last one hundred this morning of the five hundred rounds of 20VT for the weekend. Single stage sucks. I know why I bought the Dillons. Next up is 800-1000 20 Practical. They are mostly prepped and primed as they were bought that way. Going to do them on a 550. Shouldn't take very long.

After that, several hundred 220 Swifts and should be ready for a prairie dog trip, AKA, live target practice.

I separate brass by rifle since I handload for the family. I tumble the fired cases then run them through my turret press. I disconnected the advancing arm so I can rotate the turret manually. I neck size/deprime, prime, into the specific rifle jug. I don’t mess with primer pockets.

The top bin is labeled Carlos, the name of the load my brother shoots. The bottom bin is non-rifle specific.

All- I snuck out to the backyard 100 yard range to test 6.5 WSM MV and group with 68 grains of N565.

Below is the Athlon summary-
Avg MV- 3160
Min- 3144
Max- 3184
SD-12.7
ES-40

10 shot group was just under 1" at 100 yards, and for me this load is done.

6mm Day:
6 ARC - 105 BTHPS - 120 rounds using TAC and CFE - practice ammo.
243 Win - 108 Eldm's - 20 rounds using Staball 6.5. Looking for a temp stable hunting load. I started with Staball because it was the fastest temp stable powder I had in stock in Hornady's load data.

Just started reloading for first time today. My kid learned last summer and got most of the tools needed. I bought the benches and components. Reloaded my first rounds today. Case prepped some once shot brass and ran them all the way thru on a pet load my kid has worked up.

Was a ton of fun to load and learn something new. Now I have a problem. Not gonna have much free time….

It only gets worse I’m afraid my dude.

I need a replacement for Reloder 26 and 162 ELDX for our 7mm Rem Mags. I haven’t heard about StaBall HD for that application.
I’m going to try Ramshot Grand after good results in a 270wsm. Once I get bored with this 6.5PRC barrel I will spin a fresh 2025 tikka 7rem mag barrel on and sling some 162’s
