What did you do in the reloading room today?

Loaded a few hundred more rounds for PRS, NRL, and some 223s for my trainer. Shot up 400 rounds of 68 grain BTHP hornady bullets last week that I loaded and going back to 73 ELDMs for practice. Not pleased with the 68s over the few loads I tried and at distance the 73s seem better to me.

Got everything now to start loading for my new to me 6.5 PRC other than Brass.
Haven't decided on what I want to do there.
Will probably start with the old cheap Hornaday for a while.
but thought of buying some ADG or Something higher end as this will probably be my main rifle for some time.
At least till the 6 Creed in Tikkas are readily avalible.

Don't pick adg. Only bad brass I've ever tried.

That sucks. Did you end up contacting them?

I bought 2 50 count 6.5prc probably about 4-6 months apart. Both were immaculate out of the box.
No, I just ran them over an expander and prepped them like I used to with cheap bagged brass. Probably not worth my time to banter with them about it, but I'll probably keep an eye out for Lapua in the future.

N565 was only a little bit faster in mine, but clear precision winner. I pressured out around 58gr in fireformed brass. 56.5gr runs super smooth in all temps and about 2900fps in a 21" tube suppressed.
I loaded up 10 rounds of 143eldx and 56.5 of N565 and headed out to the range. The accuracy was much better than the H1000. All 10 shots combined were just under an moa. The average velocity was much slower at 2745fps. The ES was 44.3 and the SD was 16. I think I’m going to try 57.0 and 57.5 to see if I can get closer to 2850/2900. I have been really happy with the eldx’s but have a few boxes of 130/140 bergers. I might experiment with those as well. I might look into better brass also, I’m using Norma brass from a few boxes of factory match I had laying around.

Today I loaded a small amount of rounds to test for pressure signs in a new rifle and prepped some brass for follow up loads. Seeing what other people are doing in their loading rooms motivates me to spend more time doing something I enjoy and don’t do enough of.

Post up what you’ve been doing as big or as little of a job as it might be, hell even cleaning up your bench counts!
Mounted a scope into rings for a .223 trainer that is shipping my way.

Prepped brass for the last stage of load development with my .30-06 for a bear season. My 06 is old and has been on only 2 hunts in the past 6 years. I love the feeling I get hunting with it. I reworked the barrel channel on the wood stock to free float it. It’s been through a lot but I’m optimistic that my handloads will provide good results at the range tomorrow.
