I am curious when the best dates would be, heat is a major concern in early summer
Winter seems like a fun idea for the border area

Rut is Sept-Oct. Herd is pretty migrant. By march it’s pretty toastie.

Pretty sure that one is guided so you best go when they call. Cheapest sheep hunt in lower 48.

Personally I would contact Jim Breck Bean w/High West Outfitters. One could argue he’s a leading hunting authority on TX BHS.

Other option would be to contact Froyaln Hernandez who is DBS program leader w/TPWD.
