Lol right. I've hunted whitetails all my life. I used to grab something different about every time I went out, depending on season. I liked to experiment, and was always looking for something better. These days my caliber choices are pretty dang boring.

I have an uncle who used to 'hunt' deer at night with a 22lr and a spotlight. (Yeah, he's one of those. ) He said he'd put one just below the ear, and they'd drop like a box of rocks. I haven't talked to him for several years, no idea if he's still doing it.

I killed at least 2 dozen with 22lr stangers before i was 16. Daylight.
Get used to popping coons in the head at top of tree and headshots on deer is candy.

Years ago I really wanted one, it seemed perfect for deer. A buddy of mine had one and he loved it. For whatever reason I never ended up owning one. It would be even better today with the bullets we have now. Hmmm......maybe I need a new 7-08

25-06 suppressed- Used the action from my 270, my favorite hunting rifle to date.
223 suppressed- set up like my 25-06. Super fun to shoot.
Savage 220 shotgun- Still have and love. Opens up a couple short range weapon seasons.
Stevens 410 single shot with red dot- Turkey gun for the kids. Spent more on shells that the gun.
Glock 10mm- sold
Glock 9mm- still have

I think I have finally settled on what I should die with, but you never know. A suppressed 22lr tikka would be fun.

Glock 43. Road deer need to be euthanized ?

Nope, had one run up on me during a drive and I thought a 308 point Blank range was a bit overkill. Shot it right behind the shoulder with a 124 HST. Very effective!

Yea, my 7 mag... I killed one deer with it, and sold it to a nephew. He killed one deer with it, and sold it to another nephew. He killed one deer with it, and I have no idea where it went from there.

Damn thing kicked like a mule!! The last time I shot it from a bench, I shot a dime sized group. But it had to go!!
