I don't disagree that having all the details could be beneficial, but it's going to take a lot more than this incident to breakup the cult-like following that Exo has built. In all your correspondence with Exo, they never caught your carbon stays being set up wrong? Or your buckles being incorrectly attached? They have the exact photos you provided here?
That seems like a crazy mistake for a pack assembler (who has likely done this 1000s of times) to not notice they were shoving not one, but two carbon stays up a tight fitting sleeve incorrectly. Could it have been an exchanged pack that a different customer set up incorrectly?
Can you also expand on the 2 month shipping situation? It took them 2 months to ship it from their warehouse or were there complications with the carrier, exchanges, etc. ?
You put a stand up, highly respected company out there for 60 day shipping speeds, incorrect assembly, and failure on a Customer Service front to diagnose pack fit issues. I think it’s fair to the company and their employees who will see this that the entire story is out there.
Nobody is perfect! If things did go wrong with Exo, let us know. If there’s a tad more to the story, let us know.
I hope correcting the carbon stays and straps fixes your issues!
The pics I sent are the same ones sent to exo. I went back and looked and it was actually 6 weeks They were a little backlogged at the time which I knew about and then the delivery date got bumped later which may have been a shipping issue not sure why it got rescheduled I wasn’t concerned about it at the time so I didn’t think it was that unusual, until I got the second email that said that my delivery had been pushed out . As for the company I’m not sure what you are getting at. I know they were backed up with orders and I was perfectly okay with that I’ve waited on custom guns for a couple of years If the quality is good the wait is not important to me. And exo has been helpful but no they didn’t mention anything about the stay position. In all your correspondence with Exo, they never caught your carbon stays being set up wrong? I don’t even see this as an incident Shit happens I’m just pumped that someone figured out a starting point to get me in the right direction. I’m actually pretty excited nowI don't disagree that having all the details could be beneficial, but it's going to take a lot more than this incident to breakup the cult-like following that Exo has built.
I will add this I should have called exo right after the hunt last year But sometimes life gets in the way and that’s on me. The day after the hunt started a downward spiral with a death in the family and health issues and blah blah blah Shit no one but me cares about But exo didn’t bat an eye and has been trying to help me Sent me different pads, different belt, etc So I’m not throwing shade on themIn all your correspondence with Exo, they never caught your carbon stays being set up wrong? No I wore it for the two hour climb to our spike camp and back to base campe the next day and didn’t put it on again until a few weeks agoDid you ever pull stays out to clean it or something ?
Glad it got figured out!
