Right where we would expect to be, along with most everyone else. Cases should plateau this week and then start to fall again. Will be interesting to see if NY and NJ see a jump in cases again over the next couple of weeks.

I haven't looked at NJ, but NY has stayed low. There was a recent article suggesting the HIT may be as low as 20% and I think (hope) there may be something to that. The Reader's DIgest version is that there may be some protection amongst many people related to previous infection by other coronviruses, so we do not need to have the ~60% level of infected people to get to herd immunity. Sweden seemed to be showing a similar pattern.

Big time political false positives going on in Maryland. One guy did the paperwork to get tested and was told there was a 20 minute wait for the actual test. After waiting 45 minutes and they still weren't ready to test him, he left. A few days later he got an email that said he tested positive for COVID-19.
Another person was suspicious of all the "positive" tests, so he got 10 self tests. He added water and sent them to the lab. All 10 were "positive" for COVID-19!

I seriously question the current "spike". Deaths are still low, hospital ICU's and ER's still operating at the NORMAL 80-100% capacity. I personally know a large number of people but only know of a few that actually got covid.

The news coverage focus on certain states while other certain states' similar ratios and statistics are overlooked seems a bit untrustworthy.

Nice try, but all those studies show are that masks don't protect You from getting it. That's old news and I have definitely never said I thought they would protect me.

Don't know how many times this has been said but masks are for the protection of others, keeping your germs to yourself. Not wearing one is selfish

Face masks are emerging as one of the most powerful weapons to fight the novel coronavirus, with growing evidence that facial coverings help prevent transmission—even if an infected wearer is in close contact with others.

I hope you see the difference now?

That's a surgical mask. The CDC says we aren't supposed to use surgical masks, those are for health care professionals along with the N-95's. I GUARANTEE that "Experiment" would have vastly different outcomes with the cloth masks that the majority of the population is wearing as directed by the CDC.

You posted earlier in this thread about all the Covid 19 patients that had died while you treating them. How many confirmed cases did you treat? I think you talked about treating one, they’d die, then you’d move on to another to only have them die. You’ve posted no more of that happening.

How many did you treat and why are you not treating them again with the “outbreak” we are experiencing. And, if you are, why aren’t they dying like before?

No. It was from someone my boss knows. And they were directly connected with the people involved.

It's high time for you to realize that this COVID-19 deal is not, has not been, and will not be nearly as bad as what the left is, has been, and will continue to report.

Or not

"A study published in April in the Annals of Internal Medicine found that a cloth mask offers more protection than a surgical mask for people nearby."

Don't bother, the anti-maskers don't care. They wanna beam with pride while they are walking around Walmart lording over the scared "sheep". Oh wait, they can't go into Walmart anymore. Just like their kids won't be able to go to school next year when they refuse to give them a 5G mind control vaccine that Bill Gates made.

I know, but for those who are reading this thread to learn, it might be helpful for them to see data stacked up against their errant opinions.

It is ironic that the same people who are accusing the government and media of spreading disinformation are (likely knowingly) doing the same.

And now it seems like the anti-maskers are the ones who are causing the adverse COVID impact to the economy to be extended based on there excessive expressions of liberty.

Yeah in all seriousness I have been reading scientific journals on findings of mask material efficiency.

You keep insinuating this. A federal reserve employee telling you so doesn’t make it true. Nor does sticking to some narrative you agree with to create dialogue.

One more obvious thing. It isn’t anti maskers causing economic harm. It’s over reacting pro mask crowds that keep telling us this is going to kill us. We’ve went from dire straits to dire over reactions, to the desire to justify all previous reactions. As more and more tests get conducted, the results are proving this as a whole.

Until we have truth to obstruct these obvious actions and reactions, it’s literally dishonest to blame anyone who chooses to not wear a mask, as responsible for anything of the sort.

I didn't see anything that proved it had more protection than a surgical mask. I thought it was interesting that the viral load on the OUTSIDE of the mask was nearly identical to the petri dish without a mask. I thought that the idea of a mask is that it traps viruses inside but according to the study there was NO viral load on the inside. When you exhale, I guess all that virus is gonna know its supposed to hang on to that mask and won't drift away? But it was only a 4 person study so maybe real life average are better.

Pardon me for interjecting facts into the discussion, but where I live it is hospitalizations that are putting us at risk for going backwards in terms of opening the economy. Are you suggesting these patients are faking it for political gain?

"Santa Clara County is the lone Bay Area county underneath the 100-case-per-100,000-residents metric, but the county was put on the watch list due to a recent increase in hospitalizations."
