they didnt have the science channel back then ... pull up your panties .. this will pass .... until the next "world is going to end" scenario ... smh ...

It doesn't take the science channel to figure out that some people will die helping others. (Well, atleast not for most of us).

Make sure to take your Keyboard Courage with you next time you're in the hospital, or being helped by a first responder, if it's in a month or 20 years. Tell them what your attitude was. Make sure they know how proud you are that you didn't change your life. Then ask for help.

This world has survived two World Wars, Vietnam, Korea, and much more before this Wuhan Virus crap .. some here act like this is the end... no, it isnt, this country and others will carry on and we the great UNITED STATES OF AMERICA will be stronger (as long as the dems/socialists/libs/commies (all one in the same) dont gain control) ... the end of the world is forth coming, the Sun will burn out in billions of years, or another asteroid will connect with us, or possibly a Sun flare or gamma ray burst will get us, etc. ..... but in the mean time, I'm going shed hunting/scouting Saturday and I will carry on with my life as I always have .... ...
What kind of irresponsible jackass goes shed hunting in times like these??

You'll likely infect thousands of something.

Way to completely miss the point. We've seen in other countries that a lack of restraint results in a steep contraction curve and needless deaths by overwhelming the medical system. Is it really so much to ask that people restrict their lifestyles for a few weeks to potentially save hundreds if not thousands of of lives?

As my wife reminded me, my father and his father before him were tagged by their country to go to war. They are just asking for us to sit at home on the couch.

many are not sofa sitters, you can still go out and enjoy the outdoors and NOT be around a single person... some still go to work on a daily basis because we HAVE TO, but we wash our hands, keep healthy and are not scared crapless by this ...

Nobody was saying don’t go shed hunting, it was the I’m not changing my life comment. That doesn’t encompass only shed hunting. Running isn’t bad, just not bloomsday.

I would hate to interrupt your supreme existence to try and prevent a little too many sick.

Wuhan death % was about 5%, China outside of Wuhan with measures incorporated, 1%. Why? Overwhelmed system, lack of treatment. So we can eliminate 80% of the deaths by slowing the spread, seems like a decent plan.

But what’s an 80% mortality reduction? *Chump change, screw those old farts any way*

this situation seriously sucks, and I don't like it (i'm not alone there) but we do have to lessen our exposure to other people so we don't find out the hard way how nasty this virus is..... it's not too much to ask to distance ourselves.

I will be socially distancing myself in the woods.... there I won't risk spreading anything to anyone..... sounds like we are heading for lockdown in my state very soon, and i'm sure nationally.... sounds like starting Monday... ugh

we can still hike and stuff like that, i'll just take my rifle and FoxPro and try to maintain my sanity.

I would hope at this point people are taking it seriously, the faster we flatten the bell curve, the faster we can get back to our lives as we knew it. I certainly don't want to be part of the increase in cases.

I am a low risk individual, but that is no excuse to put high risk people in danger by being reckless.

this is gonna be a bad deal for many, in many ways.... health wise or financially, or something else.

we have good weather, and crazy good fishing right now, and it would have been a busy couple weeks at work, and a fun couple weeks, but we are all in this together at this point, and taking it seriously is our quickest path to normal life
