Seems plausible, I've been saying this for weeks. Also reinforces the fact that people are overreacting and need to settle down, not that many people are dying from this. The real question now is, looking at the "confirmed" case count, how many zeros should we add to that total right now to get the real number? One or two?

I looked at a chart of confirmed cases and then retroactively adding the cases of people who had it at the time not confirmed. I think it was like 10x the confirmed amount. It’s all over, hopefully another 6 weeks we can get back to arguing if a 6.5 is big enough for a kodiak brown bear with 127gr.

Just got the word the state of Kansas is going to be recommending closing all schools for two weeks. This has to be the dumbest shit ever.

I just got notice an hour ago that the daycare we go to is closed tomorrow and they expect us to pay in full for two weeks while the kids are at home with whoever we have to pay to watch them. Steamed is an understatement, I’m seeing red. They expect to pay for the two weeks they were out plus the first week back on Monday two weeks from tomorrow. Contract states snow days and holidays are the only days where the kids don’t go and we have to pay. I heard from one of the teachers she didn’t want to pay unemployment for two weeks so stuck it on us

How many people who are convinced it's a Democrat conspiracy read news from outside the USA?

Here's the short version. Its happening in alot of places outside the USA. 'Merica is playing catch up, not leading the way.

Sorry, I'm not trying to piss anyone off and unfortunately that isn't fake news.

That's nasty business. Are you in an area like me where there's a 1 year waiting list for daycare? If not, I'd be moving the kids.

Massachusetts just closed every school for 3 weeks minimum, and every restaurant and bar to any dine-in service for 4 weeks, and banned gatherings larger than 25 people across the state.

Not saying it's a bad decision, but I'm scared to think about the small business owners that could lose their livelihoods over this one.

Thats on par with what the CDC just recommended. No gatherings of more than 50 people anyplace for 8 weeks.

Give em time and they will have you line up outside and only let so many in at at once....Pence said just buy a weeks worth of food, that's all you need.....meanwhile I will guarantee you the feds have millions of meals stored and it would not surprise me if they were the ones that bought out mountain house.

Man when are you guys going to wake the f up? It’s not what’s going on right now that we preparing for. Its what we are looking at a month from now.

Take a look at numbers coming out of Italy as apposed to China’s bullshit fabricated numbers.
Italy has close to 1900 dead with about 25k total cases. Of which 20 k are still active. Read that again till it sinks in.

It was the only place in a 10 mile radius that could take both kids at the time we were looking. I have four other friends with kids in other daycare that are not expected to pay. Last update from a teacher we talk to was there’s a handful of parents saying their pulling the kids if she expects them to pay. Everyone is furious, but we are in a tough circumstance with no backup plan

Italy:

1900 dead out of 60 million.

6000 is 0.001% of the population of Italy.

60,000 is 0.10% of the population.....less than 1/2 of that have kung flu.

Italy is also a cesspool I've been all over that country it is disgusting and crowded. Their food regulations are piss poor as well as their overall health standards. They also have crap healthcare and an average age of almost 70 what's happening there will in no way foreshadow what will happen here. Quit fear mongering and go back to your shelter.
