Our family has been on vacation, but we go back to work the 19th. I do CT scans and Chest c-rays in the busiest urgent care facility in the U.S. Do you know what damn near every pt that has a cough does after I tell them to take a deep breath and hold it in does? Yep, they cough their ass off every time.. So unless i am in a biohazard suit i will have this disease soon. That or i have already been exposed but figured it was a cold. I will try & Keep you folks posted as this rolls along. Also my wife is an RN at the same facility so pray for my children, we don't know what to expect.

After going to 2 Iditarod events with hundreds and hundreds of people from all over the country and world probably, I’ve got a bad cold/flu. But not many test available in AK, so guess I’ll just lay around the house. I kind of wish they’d test me, but guess other people might be more worse off.

I've always thought of Italians as extremely disorganized and chaotic and not the brightest Europeans. I do have empathy for Italy, it seems they are suffering a lot. I hope they get through this quickly!!! Bill

Damn that's ******* cold man.

Well it looks like the total knee replacement my wife was supposed to be getting on Wednesday is canceled. Poor girl is in so much pain it’s ridiculous, basically bone on bone, but they are calling it an elective surgery.

She’s had to use those dang electric carts at the store for awhile now, they didn’t want to replace it as she was too young, but finally got bad enough that they had to do it. It’s probably the best of a bad situation, don’t want her having problems and not room to treat her, hopefully this blows over fast, with less problems than Italy.

Believe me its a blessing in disguise. I just had mine done 8 wks ago, spent 1 night in the hospital, came out with a very sore knee and a bad cold. Good luck to your wife. Have the Dr talk to the ins co about the elective BS. They tried the same on me.

It’s not the ins company, the hospitals are canceling all non-emergency surgeries. I think they are worried about an infection or difficulty during the peak of the virus spreading, short staff at that time.

It’s ok, she was a bit nervous about doing it for those reasons. They haven’t officially canceled it, just put her on notice that it’s in discussion.

Again don’t come at with this common sense. It made me rethink robbing my neighbors house of TP when they go to church.

I am still doing it. END OF DAYS END OF DAYS!!!!!

Also in case there are any doubts, if you drink bleach you are guaranteed not to die from Coronavirus. I mean the bleach will kill you but at least you didn’t get a virus.

Man, don't discourage people from drinking bleach. If people want to drink bleach.......let them. That gene pool needs to end.

bet it was it. I think its been around for months. Thousands of cases. But only this past week did the media make it seem like it showed up. Not all out chaos is happening and people think the world is ending lol

That's what we call "the crud". It's been around at least the past 3-4 years, and everybody seems to get it down here. It's that dry cough that lasts for weeks that's the worst. I've had it now for the past month. It always gets worse right at bed time, but then isn't a problem while I'm sleeping.

yea it’s very bizarre I’m trying to figure it out. The media makes it seems like there are patients and sickness all over Colorado. I work as a firefighter and we have yet to see one person that has it.
Also one of the major hospitals in Denver. One would think it’s packed to the gills with people dying lol. But when I talked to a nurse the other day she said they had maybe one case so far lol.
Things aren’t adding up. I would think the hospitals would be packed with patients right if that’s why we are shutting everything thing down!!

On a separate note. A firefighter I work with has a brother out in New York. His brothers family all got sick 3 months ago. They had dry coughs and felt like crap. They went to the doctor and the doctor tested them for influenza. Tests came back negative. And the doctor said his family
Got sick too with a new virus coMing out of Asia. That was 3 months ago!

I am no conspiracy theorist but my fiance, myself and my entire family all had the exact same thing in January-early February. It definitely sucks and knocked us down but we got over it...something doesn't add up with all of this. I have friends in Washington state, California, Oregon, Nevada...and all are in population centers and none of them have seen a thing.

You guys quit it!!! The Wuhan Virus is real and it is going to kill 3% of the billions who get it. Trump is handling the crisis so bad that in November we should all vote Blue no matter what. WHOA! This media Kool-aid is starting to work. So much Shenanigans going on right now. I am glad that it seems lots of people are seeing thru this Media Smoke screen.

similar thing happened to my mother age 71 here in southwest fl. talked to her via phone at 6pm and all was good. next am she doesn't answer phone, this goes on for a few hrs so i ride to her place and she is on the bed short of breath and just out of it, doesn't want to get up and wont go with me to hospital, she has a fever of 103.8. and a terrible cough.

call ambulance since she refused to go with me.

er does all the normal tests and find nothing including flu test. they scan her lungs and tell her she has fluid in her lungs but no explanation to why or anything other than some virus they haven't seen.

she spends 6 days in the respiratory wing of the hospital basically doing no treatments other than mucinex and a abuteral breathing treatment. all this time she is complete exhausted and short of breath and some nausea but never vomits.

they let her leave on the 7th day and she recovers at home but it take a good two weeks for her to feel normal and start to get back to her self .

she is a very active 71 yr old that works in her garden until dark almost daily.

i have since inquired with her doctor if she may have had it and he says very likelyas he belives its been here alot longer than being portrayed

this started feb 8th

who knows but she sure had every symptom i have read about

Several including myself (as I’ve posted here about it) went through the worst what we thought was a bad cold/flu a few months ago that I’ve ever had, my wife tested negative for flu but literally thought she was dying from pneumonia as I thought I was, all 4 of us had it, I don’t do Facebook but my son does, here is a screen shot of a pediatric doctor/nurse post on there from our area I took from his Facebook today, B25E207B-96A8-4552-9D1A-29BFD1D283D5.jpegif this isn’t the virus were trying to slow down it certainly had a lot of the same symptoms and complications, both of our sons 22 and 18 were down for 2 or 3 days my wife maybe 4, put me down for a week and a constant cough for over a month of bad green fleme. My family Dr was at a total loss on what was giving my area such a respiratory infection, here’s that screen shot, take it for what it’s worth.

Seems plausible, I've been saying this for weeks. Also reinforces the fact that people are overreacting and need to settle down, not that many people are dying from this. The real question now is, looking at the "confirmed" case count, how many zeros should we add to that total right now to get the real number? One or two?
