Huh???? My uncle killed a pile of turkeys with his "shiny" 1100, he bought it new in the 60's when they first came out. I inherited it. Now, I kill one every year with that gun, along with others. That 3" 1100 may not put the pattern in these "new guns with TSS" do, but the turkeys haven't been able to tell me the difference. I loved that man, every time I kill one with his 1100 or model 12, or even carry them in the woods or handle them at home, --------- It just takes me back to better times, no a different time, but he, my Aunt and Granny are still there in "those" times.Used to have a Remington 1100 Magnum. Wish I had just cerakoted and kept it. Thing shot like a dream. It was just too shiny for the turkey woods and I sold it.
Now, the problem with the 1100 for waterfowl would be the old barrels can't handle this "new" stuff.
