I've seen that before. Steven Rinella is, in my opinion, the best advocate for hunting that we have today. I'm a huge fan.

Completely agree, hard to get a smile out of an anti that considers hunting murder. He and Randy are the only two TV personalities I would like to meet.

I agree, Steve is very articulate in his arguments for hunting and conservation. He is a terrific ambassador for us, we need more like him. I really like his podcast, too. I never really listened to podcasts before but i find myself listening to his over and over.

He impressed me from the first time I watched his show. Don't miss an episode now. "Class act" is a good description and I hope he continues what he is doing. Wish I could explain this stuff the way he can/does. Keep up the good work Steven !

I too admire the Meat Eater. Steven Rinella is the real deal. My favorite unapologetic and honest quote of his "I hunt for the challenge, for the adventure, and to be close with God."

Amen Brother!

Is this an actual quote? I tried googling it and came up empty. I didn't think Rinella was religious as he routinely speaks of evolution.

I don't know about the quote but not everyone who believes in God believes everything in the Bible.

I recall him saying it on one of his shows, however I cannot tell you which one. I only remember him saying it because it resonated with me. I don't claim to know the man. I just like his show.

Rinella is a good public figure to be associated with hunting.

Believing in evolution and Christianity are not mutually exclusive so long as one does not take a literal interpretation of the Bible (which many/most Christian denominations do not).
