officially have my vacation days on the calendar at work (WHOO HOO) august 30th - September 18th Washington bear, archery elk and maybe archery deer. who else gets the dates on the calendar and then makes it a million times worse waiting? seems to not be as hard until I actually write it down on a calendar. 64 days and counting.....

Make no mistake I don't take it for granted on how blessed I am to have that much time off. You don't wanna be oilfield trash though :D I work with plenty of guys here that live in TX, LA, TN, OK, CO, WA, OR, ID and more. The commute once every two weeks ins't all that bad I'm told.

I wasn't even thinkin about late season stuff yet. I just put vacation for the early high hunts I do. all my late season stuff is sick days.or another trick I like is making people think im at work with my smart phone. last year I think I worked 4 or 5 days in October with out "taking" a day off. that was a good deal there

I just got done with my spring bear hunt a week and a half ago and I already can't wait to get back up there! I'll be mostly hunting the weekends in September. Probably take a few days off work here and there. Then some weekend deer hunting in October and a Colorado elk hunt in November.

I too put mine up on the calendar today... Got August 30- September 4 for my and my grandpa's archery deer hunt and October 4- October 8 for my wife's hunt... so far. That isn't counting my late season archery deer hunt either! :) Pumped for her hunt as it's her first time hunting where she'll be the one with the tag! I can't wait!

I've got Sept 16-20 then Sept 22-28 off for high buck, I'm working on getting the 21st off. Then oct 11-Nov 5 for modern deer/elk off and also every weekend in November off for waterfowl. I'm excited about this season. I'm a single dad so the 5 yr old will be spending a lot of the time with me in the woods, which limits a lot of what I can do but also we will be making some amazing memories. He will actually be going with me on one of the high buck hunts even.

I've got the last week of September, and either the first week in September or a week in October, depending on how leftover tag draw goes. The fun part will that I'll be in Asia the middle of September, so I'll be out in the field with a serious case of jet lag. At least I'll be getting up early.

Aug 1-Aug 20th ill be chasing Caribou in Alaska or Pronghorn in Wyoming for 2 weeks then 1 week. The rest of the fall is slim pickings besides a possible winter AZ Mulie trip, and a TX Javelina trip.

2014 is a different matter all together. Ill get Sept 1- Oct 15 off and I plan to spend every single day afield somewhere. Hoping to swing an AK moose, WY elk, WY mule deer, and CO mule deer.
