The part cost me less than $50 and a few minutes under the front bumper....I had to loosen the intercooler support but that was no big deal. That underboost is no joke!

Yeah it’s stupid easy to replace. Better than replacing the timing chain, like the dealership tried to talk me into, with under 100k on the truck hahaThe part cost me less than $50 and a few minutes under the front bumper....I had to loosen the intercooler support but that was no big deal.
Me too a few years ago before it was a known issue. Unfortunately it cost me the $50 after paying the first mechanic $2kish for a turbo and the second $500ish for some sensors. I found the issue on YouTube right before taking it to a dealer to dump. The part cost me less than $50 and a few minutes under the front bumper....I had to loosen the intercooler support but that was no big deal.
I like Toyota for reliability, 2021 and older. Waiting to see on the new version. My 2021 has been trouble free but only have 30,000 miles. But know plenty of people with 200,000+ trouble free miles. Just did a long trip with my parents. Both towing trailers 3000 miles+. All across mountain states mpg was comparable 2023 f150 and 2021 tundra. Tundra maybe slightly better. I like the idea of non turbo better. Less to go wrong. I think the eco boost F150 gets better mileage not towing. View attachment 589102
