Hey thanks to all the Roksliders that helped me figure out which climbing tree stand to get. I finally went with the Summit Viper SD. Got me a Muddy full body harness as well. Looking forward to learning how to use it. The thing that surprises me the most is my harness will expire in 2021! Lmao! Dang. Good thing I read. I love this forum and all the bros that are willing to help. Thanks y’all. Gonna have to bring a 2 liter to piss in! Hahaha

So I rocked the Summit for a long fall bear hunt. In my area it’s the best way to get them. Sadly no bear on the ground but man! I got to say the tree stand was WAY MORE fulfilling than I ever imagined. If you’re a western guy who is unsure about or who turns your nose up to tree stands just give it a try. I hand great hunts and didn’t even shoot an animal. Can’t wait for next year.

Ha! Well that make shit easier. I just figured leaving urine on the ground by the tree I’m sitting in will break every scent rule in the book. I’ll check out the Rinella piece. Thanks brothers

Totally piss out of the tree. I piss in scrapes when I can too! Never found it to bother deer at all

Don’t take the scent thing too seriously. You can’t beat a whitetail’s nose. Play the wind, just like you would for elk.
