Unknown suppressors OG testing

Legend has it that Chuck Norris once won an Internet semantics fight with Form.

I’m interested to see where these suppressors go. Cool to see something new, but personally I want quieter than a scythe at a minimum. Shooting my banish backcountry (in a hunting scenario) without ear pro sucks.

So what you are using that is less than 128dB at the ear?

I haven’t measured, but I have an OCL Polonium 556 and Banish 30 Gold that are much quieter than my Banish Backcountry which I believe is on par with a scythe. Just ordered a big ol Hydrogen L 6.5 that will be manageable on my 16-17” rifles.

I’ll probably pick up a Mach S or hydrogen S soon for the 18” rifles.

I’d love a quiet OTB option and am willing to pay a few ounces for it. Seems like everyone online is veal team 6, 10 miles deep ultra lightweight forest operator. I’m just a dude that goes maybe a few miles in if I’m honest and mostly hunts with my kids. I feel like statistically I’m on the far edge of Joe average Hunter, but too old to pretend I’m that dialed in anymore. I want a setup built for comfort, not speed but that’s just me.

Again, interesting to see new stuff out there.

The Backcountry is 5’ishdB louder than the Scythe. The OG quieter than the Backcountry.

Right now that is a Raptor 10 with OTB. Or, an AEM30.

I shot the OG on my 14” 22 creed for the first time today.

Gotta say I like it a lot. Overall length of the rifle is 38”. With “in the ear pro”, it sounded more thumpy than anything. It was a thump and then the crack. Hard to explain but it was excellent. I have the Ultra 7, DD Wolf Hunter, and YHM Nitro 30 as comparison.

I will be hunting exclusively with OG suppressors. I have the OG-L in order as well for my carbon fiber barrels. The OTB is the primary factor, the sound is a nice bonus.

Also, I think it may have improved the groups, but the sample is small.

I will let @mxgsfmdpx speak for himself, but here is a quick video of the pure joy of shooting the rifle with OG suppressor.

I’ve shot in this horseshoe shaped bowl/canyon for thousands and thousand of rounds. Shots from 100 yards all the way out to a mile. @hereinaz
took a few cracks at the mile shot as well today.

It’s a fun place to test suppressor sound because all of the sound comes funneling back at the shooter and it is loud.

The OG is likely what I’ll be using for most of my hunts this year as well. While it may not be “quieter” than some of my other cans, the overall tone and lack of what I call “pew ring out” or a “tingy” sound compared to other cans is instantly noticeable from the shooting position. Particularly in this shooting spot that really amplifies the sound of the shots.
