If you're telling someone their pricing is off(which you probably shouldn't do anyway) send it in a private message to the seller, or if you're making an offer use the Private Messaging option(PM) and be respectful.

Rudeness seems to be increasingly common in this forum in general. I think it's part of growing larger. I ditched AT because of that, so it's sad to see it creeping in here.

I'm sure the Boss will put an end to it, there's an accepted etiquette in forums...a community of enthusiasts that develop trust and extend respect to each other.

This isn't Facebook-Ebay where public humiliation is accepted...tromp on the DB's

I also just went through the thread in question. The way "you" went about that was all wrong. I'm saying "you" because I'm sure you'll read this. If a seller posts an item that is/may be on the high side, the post will take care of itself. By that I mean guys will look at the post, see the item is priced too high, make a counter offer with respect (usually pm), or simply move on. When the seller sees their item is not generating any interest (this is for items that are generally popular or sought after of course, which this one is), they tend to take another look at their pricing and often times adjust it. So I would respectfully ask "you" to re-think how you interject your opinion in other Rockslider's posts.

Thanks a bunch.

There is a difference between intentional (you know) and unintentional (you didn't know). Just typing a preface of no disrespect means you have a good idea it's going to be taken disrespectfully but you proceed to go ahead anyway

Wow guys funny now it is intentional rudeness. For the record i did publicly apologize to Elkf and sent him another pm stating that as well. I was not trying to bash him but some of you are bashing me intentionally. I manned up and admitted I was wrong...... How about a little education about the issue such as some have certainly posted and stop the bashing route that others have chosen to take.

If you and elkf are good, I'm good. Glad it was resolved.

Good on you Pn8hall!!! I had to eat a little crow myself on here recently. I gave my opinion on a particular product without having all of the information. Live and learn.

Only time I've ever done this and still usually do it through PM is when there is a retail sale currently lower than their list price which they probably weren't aware of. Doing it through PM gives them the option to wait till the sale is over and re-list or lower their price, so is still the best approach.

If their price is higher than market, the market will certainly let them know with cricket noises... Aint capitalism a beautiful thing.

Buying a car for a amazing great price doesn't mean all similar cars are worth the same sale price now.

You can value your own junk for whatever you want it's what others are willing to pay that drives the market price.

Just use the word "vintage", it increases the perceived value by 50% :)

This is true. But it absolutely should be done through a PM. If the purpose here is really to help other forum members, then a quick PM to help them price it more market accordingly should not be an issue. It's funny though when I see used gear for sale on forums that is priced higher than you can find it for brand new a lot of times.
