Tell me why I shouldn't move to wyoming...

Won’t date barrel racers. Never again, never again 😯😬
Kinda like red heads. Those women are nuts. OK a bit off topic.

Seriously, like others have said, travel out there a number of times at different times of year and see if you think you could tolerate it. Winters are brutal and summers can be hotter than hell. The skiing at JH is marvelous though.

Have been without power today for several hours now.
Power company says that some main power lines have blown over.
Out here in our area they are buried… but somewhere between the source and us there is a disrupt.

Just noticed we lost the covers on some of our basement access window wells since yesterday.🥴

The first year after we built this house we had to have roofers back seven times to replace lost shingles. Was originally roof in cool weather.
Three times for facia blowing off.

Granted we can have winds 2x as strong out here than in town five miles away. Terrain/geography has a lot of influence.

This was a finished shop. Wind took the roof off. Every single panel gone. Then the structure just folded. The building was 60 days old.

Soooo your saying I can get it pretty cheap???

He ain't moving.
Agreed.

To the OP, what’s the point of continuing this discussion?

Either move or don’t, but at this point you’ve obviously assessed your situation and feel you’ve gathered enough information that you feel like you can counter any data points that others/residents offer.

If you’re trying to find a perfect scenario in order to move, let me save you the suspense and tell you that it probably doesn’t exist, and waiting for that ideal situation is going to stop you from even moving at all (which may be what you know is the right decision).

I wish you the best if you do move, but if there’s doubt in your mind about the move at all; what’s the point of putting yourself or family through it? Moving just to prove to some people who’ve chimed in on this discussion that you can do it is dumb. If you do move, are you planning to continue updating this discussion with posts and evidence of just how happy you are?
