Y'all aren't still using ear pro while shooting suppressed? I don't even know what any of my cans sound like lol
The only time I don't have ear pro while shooting is at animals unexpectedly, and in those moments, I don't even notice what they sound like.

I use ear pro even when shooting suppressed supersonics unless I'm intentionally wanting to hear the can or testing it against another model.

Subsonic is too much fun to shoot with ear pro.

Edit: this is for high volume stuff. I leave the ear pro at home when I'm hunting.

Even with a suppressor, if im sitting in the stand or at the range I double up on ear pro (foamies plus electronic).

If im in the backcountry and taking 1-2 shots over 5 days no ear pro when suppressed.

Mini tikka would be sweet, I’d imagine that being a different footprint.

Yeah, that's what I'd see as a the primary hangup. Different stocks, bottom metal, magazines would seem to create a significant constraint vs an existing footprint with a large market of compatible parts.

A Sako 461/vixen/a1 action 6 ARC setup is about tops on the list of next wants in the rifle lineup.

Pretty pointless if it is a different footprint in my opinion, and I agree, it would be a different footprint.

I can think of no elegant solution that gives a mini action and the same footprint. I cannot even think of an inelegant solution that wouldn't be a complete kludge. Well, I can think of one, but it would need custom barrels, so no Tikka prefits.

If building a mini action that needs custom barrels and custom stocks, I think one would be better off copying a Sako action rather than a Tikka, but using Tikka triggers.

I saw some rumors of sako s90 coming with the XS actions. Them actually chambering them in ARC seems like a far off pipe dream for the near term though.

Unless you made it the same foorprint as a Howa mini, there aren't any mini actions with any aftermarket support for stocks, bottom metal, etc., right? Or am I missing one?

This may have been answered before, but how will the suppressor be sold? Will it only be through UM? I've used Capital Armory and had a great experience with their forms and customer service. I was able to get the can shipped directly to my house and got multiple phone calls prior to it shipping

Direct from UM through email:

"As of right now details aren't set in stone, and may change as time progresses. To answer some of them,

As of right now we plan to sell directly from our website and through dealers. We highly suggest that you use an FFL with Silencer Shop to make your purchase as easy as possible. Silencer Shop will be mostly a one stop shop for NFA purchases, you can buy a trust from them too. For home delivery that is something you won't see for the majority of NFA items. We're aware that Capitol Armory does something in that realm but they also have capabilities we are unable to do at this time.

We are going to do our best to make these cans as available as we can. Right now we're unsure as to what supply and demand is going to be. Keep an eye on the website, we may make a preorder option available. "
