25 years spent in a machine shop or at a race track, my hearing is shot! Plus they add WEIGHT! But I may try one on the ulul someday. Oh, and no hacksaws on my barrels. I will stick to the lathe.Very, very pissed. You need to buy a suppressor and see the light! Makes range days in the mountains a treatā¦..

Iāve bird hunted my entire life, thousands of days in duck blinds not wearing ear pro. Unsuppressed center fire rifles and pistols still ring my ears. I never wear ear pro shooting suppressed. They sound like a 17hmr to me. I canāt tell you how many shots of unsuppressed 17hmr Iāve listened to in the past 20 years shooting ground squirrels for ranchers and sage rats out east. Probably not recommended by any kind of professional though.25 years spent in a machine shop or at a race track, my hearing is shot! Plus they add WEIGHT! But I may try one on the ulul someday. I canāt find NFA polymer lower parts kits anywhere.I could live with that too, but I doubt a lot of others could... @Taudisio would be pissed!![]()
Ruh ro... not at NFA? Probably a good idea to keep half a dozen on hand.I canāt find NFA polymer lower parts kits anywhere.
Just heard back from NFA. They're out of stock but said they should have them within 30 days.I canāt find NFA polymer lower parts kits anywhere.
Yea, I just ordered a mil spec kit without a trigger or grip. It was $12. If I get a wild hair down the road, Iāll explore V7. I think Iām going to set this one up a little heavier for longer range work with a true scope or lpvo and adjustable stock. Thinking 5.5lbs all said and done.Just heard back from NFA. I suppose if you're not using the trigger, there's really not all that much one needs from them. Take down and pivot pins, magazine release and safety selector? Timber Creek makes aluminum pins. May be aluminum magazine release and safety selectors available somewhere?
how much difference in velocity/muzzle blast from a 10.5 to 12.5 inch barrel? I might be in for one in 223 wyld. I just haven't looked in to velocity and kill distance enough.Any chance there would be enough interest in doing a group buy with Satern for a portless short barrel option? Either 10.5 inch 223wylde or 6x45.
The 10.5 inch 223wylde bca barrel and the 12 inch 5.56 (cut down from 16) bca barrels I have both shoot about 2480fps with stand1 77tmk loads. I think 10.5 is probably the sweet spot. Gets the 77tmk out to 440-450 yards before it hits 1800fps...how much difference in velocity/muzzle blast from a 10.5 to 12.5 inch barrel? I might be in for one in 223 wyld. My only issue with it is that it weighs a half pound more than my 16 inch barrels...The BCA 10.5" is 35.00 haha.
If it is half as accurate as my 16" BCA pencil, that'll do.
