Go back and read the thread. I’ve shot my 5x prism out to 750 yards. The Swfa is 9.5oz not including your rings. Primary arms 5x is 8.5oz. I don’t know where you got your numbers from.
With the setup you described, I think the Primary Arms 3x micro prism would be worth considering. Red dot would probably be great too for 100 yards and in.
I have an SWFA 2.5-10. It's okay, but personally I'm not crazy about it. It's not lighter than the Primary 5x Micro Prism and for me, at the ranges I shoot, 10x is probably more magnification than needed, but that's the power where the BDC is calibrated for. I've shot lots of animals out near 300 yards with my 2-7s left on 2x so the Primary 5x would be more than enough magnification for about any shots I've made, probably the 3x as well for that matter.

I don't have a ton of experience with red dots, but I'd think 150ish would be reasonable. That's me thinking I've made shots out to 280ish on 2x pretty easily. 1/2 the magnification and half the distance sounds reasonable.

I have shared this buck around on other threads, but I don’t think I shared it here. I absolutely love the ULUL configuration. The weight of the rifle and comfort while walking around with it still blows my mind. I just need to dial in a load with a bit more penetration for next year. Clearly the 87gr vmax works, I just want some more exit holes.What caliber is that?
Hard to tell by reading the description-- is the mount in the pics included in that price?
I used a 2 moa red dot on my muzzleloader this year. I was comfortable out to 200 yards in ideal conditions and killed a buck at 150. My buddy was getting consistent hits out to 300 yards on a 12”x24” target, but he passed up a shot at roughly 300 because the deer felt so small at that range with no magnification. He ended up killing that buck at 150 yards the next day.
6x45, a 5.56 necked up to 6mm. A good option for those in 6mm/243 states.
Any extraction issues with it?

It comes with a mount.
There are about 7 different mounts in the box for whatever configuration you could want. I believe the weight primary arms posted is with the standard mount installed, I never weighed mine though. There is a photo of one on a scale in This review.
No extraction issues with the 6x45. I have no problem hunting with the 77gr after killing a bear with them.
