The biggest issue is getting a lightweight scope to dial consistently overtime. I am still looking for a 20oz scope that I trust.

Ryan- Any thought on the new Vortex Razor HD LH?? Might be apples to oranges but it is 16oz and shares the glass with the Razor line... does it have the same internal workings to provide repeatable adjustments?

I played with the scope at Shot. I don't really like capped turrets on a LR rifle and I would want more magnification. But the scope seemed solid.

Let me start off by saying that I am a Night Force fan and always will be, they are rugged, accurate and the most dependable. That being said I think that Swarovski hit a freaking home run! I have done a tall target test, box test, dropped it, took it off and it has not failed yet, the correction factor in the turrets are right in line with NF. The glass is amazing, last night shooting in the rain I could actually see rain drops falling when shooting groups at 300 yards, When I looked through my NF it just looked hazy. When the suns at my back and setting I can watch my bullet shining as it go's through the air and hit the steel target with my 6x47 Lapua.

Let me know if you are going to get one. We give good pricing for Rokslide members, call us @ 970-242-6166 Red Hawk Rifles

ill call ya. wish nightforce made a enhanced nxs with the atacr features. 34mm tube seems a bit exsessive for hunting i still may just get the 5-25 atacr instead of the x5 for a lesser price etc.... although 38 oz is kinda over the top weight wise. does the x5 come with a sunshade?

I agree with you on having some features from the ATACR but on the other hand I wish the ATACR had some features the X5 has. It's a win win either way you go, it will be worth your time to give us a call on either scope.
