Wondering if anyone had has some success spot and stalking a goat with a recurve. I have a few points saved up and I am looked to cash in for next year or the year after. I am not against sitting water holes but I think it would be pretty neat slipping in on one.

Sounds like a challenge. I suppose if a guy had enough time that eventually you could get it done. Sitting a waterhole would increase your odds. Although I have had them completely dodge an arrow from my trad bow at 20 yards from a waterhole blind before. I finally gave up and shoot my compound now.

I heard about a fella who wore a gillie suit and literally sat on a yucca plant where he had seen a few groups traveling through before the season started. Shot one on day 2. We've stalked up them close enough for a trad bow shot, but the terrain was definitely in our favor
