To Upgrade or not - based on Axle to Axle

I don’t see how it’s possible for you to shoot a 28” ata bow at 28.5” draw length without having to duck your head into the string.

the bow cams effectively add ~4-5" to the ATA measurement. offcenter wheel bows of the 90's only added ~2" to the ATA

I’m well aware of that. I run a small archery shop out of my garage. I don’t stock anything, so I don’t have to lie to people. I tune bows, replace strings, build arrows, give lessons, and sometimes find people gently used or new left over old stock stuff.

I’ve had a plenty of guys come in with 28.5”+ draw lengths shootings 29” ATA and smaller bows. I watch every single one of them have to duck their head into the string. Joel Maxfield posted some comparisons between his 33” and 29.5” lift on Facebook earlier this year. He acknowledged that he had to change his anchor between the two bows. He’s one of Mathew’s longest running employees.
