I prefer euro mounts so much I even have a euro turkey skull.I prefer euro mounts for the look and for how they seem to age compared to older shoulder mounts.
That's what I do just about every morning in the Trophy Room that I built and is pictured above.I've selectively mounted animals and will continue to do so. When I'm older I look forward to mornings where I wake up with a cup of coffee and reminisce about hunts in a room dedicated to those memories. On some shallow advice, I did temporarily consider not mounting anything, but I course corrected when I realized that we slowly age and its nice to have more than just photos or memories.
There are markets here in Montana for antlers. I haven't seen the price is several years, but I think it's around $10/lb.. . . If I ever shoot an animal with a rack so large someone was willing to pay me a lot of money for it I’d sell that rack to them so fast your head would spin. . .
