Timberline

So Im getting ready to order a t2. Im not going to get the longhunter or xtl lid but may up grade later. So besides that is there any other options or accessories you feel are have to have or wish you had ordered? Or even those that you feel you did order but could have done without? Thanks

As stated the Grab-It, lash kit, small and medium pouch.

I have to say Kifaru Customer Service is top notch. I got my Timberline 2 with a medium belt and me being a 33 inch waist am right in between a small and medium. I decided I needed a small since I bottomed out my medium one. I called them yesterday at lunch and Alisha offered to over night one to me if I needed, I didn't so I said no thanks. But I just got an email that it shipped. One day from a custom shop and it is out the door. I am very impressed! I don't mind spending coin on gear from a company that treats you like family! Way to go Kifaru, really glad they are sponsoring this site!

Kifaru is top-notch, glad to have them here also!

I would say possibles pouch, small belt pocket, grab-it and lash kit. Then i would say get their stuff sacks.

The bug has really bitten me too.

I still have a list of stuff i will be getting by this fall. Id like a KU E&E for spot and stalk hunting, so i can drop my pack and have some stuff to keep me in the game if i have to wait for a deer to stand.

I also want need a lash kit. Maybe a grab it, though i dont think id get much use out of it. Definetly a KU possibles pouch for my shelter, or maybe a KU long pocket for that.

I want a 20 degree slick bag as well as a few of thier compression sacs. And also a few meat bags.

In the next few years i want a sawtooth and a medium stove, and either a t3 or KU 3700.

I like the idea of luke moffat, but I was wondering how to attach the KU Possibles pouch to the standard lid. I called Kifaru yesterday, and was informed that the Possibles pouch would not attach to the standard lid. So, luke moffat, or anyone else in the know, how do you attach that pouch to the four tabs on the standard lid? I'm looking to order a T2 next week, and I'm just trying to get all the accessories right before order. Thanks in advance.

Well as you can see in the pic it CAN be done. There are 4 three bar loops on the pouch that can be slid through the 4 loops on the standard lid. Not super easy but if it takes ya more than 2 minutes I would be surprised. I like it as its much lighter and just as much space as the Xtl lid for less coin and easily removable when you don't want it.

I'm using a standard lid T2 with a light claymore attached to the lid. That way I can remove it if needed. I'll most likely keep my supertarp/annex in the claymore. Does anyone know if the light claymore has internal organizers or is it just a bag?

This may be a question more directed at Aron, but to anyone with experience with either....

1. Other than the pockets on the bag, what is the biggest advantage to the T1 over the Longhunter guide?

2. I put a MR Daypack lid on my Longhunter because I wanted something kind of inbetween the LH lid and XTL. I like it thus far, any thoughts on what I won't like or will like?

3. Do you foresee me eventually buying a T1 because of advantages?

The T1 is lighter by a couple pounds, other than that not much of a difference.

If you want some pockets and a drop in weight, than I could see you buying a T1, but both ate great packs and love the Duplex frame system.

Thanks luke. I just wanted to make sure you didn't purchase an additional lash system with the pouch. T2, here I come!!
