My T1 will be here Monday.

Man, seems like most of you guys are pretty much negating the weight savings of the Timberline packs by attaching all kinds of heavy pods and pockets. If I need more than 7200ci (I won't) then it'll be time to re-think what I'm taking! :)

Yep, i ordered my T1 with only a belt pocket, i seem to be the minority, everyone seems to be going all out. The modularity of these packs makes me want to experiment though. I do plan on getting a pocket or 2.

Soon ill make another kifaru order.

I'm with you; ordered the T2 with a small hip belt pouch only. Mine is due to come in this Wednesday.

mines coeming with a med belt pouch, grab it,and a claymore lite for the lid.i actually think the claymore lite is a lighter option for a top lid than the xlt or longhunter as i can have a standerd lid when the extra space isnt needed, like after camp is set up instead of packing one of the larger lids around for no reason.

My T2 with two chamber pockets and XTL Lid weigh in at 5# 13 oz. It has plenty of pockets If you count the hydration pocket this combo has 9 pockets plus the main compartment. That is plenty for me to organize my hunting stuff. My T1 weighs 6 oz. more with the same set up. Those two are big packs with lots of cubic inches for that weight. I would agree, the more pods, pouches, etc. you add, the more your negate the weight savings of this particular pack.

I agree about not going too hog Wild on pockets. The are already laid out well for organization for the most part. Just wanted some waist belt pockets, a grab it and a ku possibles pouch for the lid. These still keep my t1 sub 6 pounds.

I figured I would post this up for anyone that is on the fence about purchasing either the T1 or T2. I went out to check the trail cams today in our Blacktail area and had the Timberline 1 in "daypack mode." Here are some pics for you guys with it loaded up with the gear I needed for the short 3 mile trip. There is about 10 lbs. of gear inside. This pack is honestly as small as my Badlands Superday. I love it.

Don't mind the camo clothing, it was pouring and I wanted to stay dry.

Nice pics slim, all the more reason to go T1, do you really need smaller than that? Looks like a sweet pack indeed.

Here is a pic of mine with a bunch of carry on crap stuffed inside of it but the stays removed so it'd be a legit carry on

120lbs in the pack and still getting lots of lift.

The key to the comfort of the pack IMHO. This waist belt hugs the hips really well and doesn't slide down!

This suspension system is so comfortable and yet so simple. I love the Packlock lumbar pad.
