Does anyone know if the T3x/SWFA combo will got in a Kolpin gun boot? I want to add a carrier to my motorcycle, but I'm concerned about the height of the elevation turret.

If it's any help, I'm specifically looking at the Stronghold or any of the flip-lid versions.
The models with the slide off cap won't work.

I had one of the red shag lined gun boots (think it was a kolpin flip-lid) that fit a marlin 336 with scope mounted in high see thru rings. That was 25+ years ago though so not sure the models are still the same or not or if it was a flip lid for sure.
If so i would think it should fit a tikka w/swfa.

I bought a SS, fluted, 6.5 PRC take off barrel and screwed it onto LH magnum action. I left the full length bolt stop and I run full length mags.

Would you be willing to share the story on how you came to own a LH 6.5PRC SL? I've been waiting for Tikka to offer that exact model!

I was under the impression that the chubbier prc rounds did not feed well out of the LA magazines. Can you confirm that that you're using the standard LA magazine and have no issues cycling PRC rounds? Can you fit three in the mag?

I run a long action MT Billet mag on a 6.5 PRC. So far so good, but it doesn't have a ton of rounds yet. Ran them on a 300 WSM with good success.

I had mine chopped to 20 and wished I’d have gone 18. I too shoot it with a Hyperion k

I have one at 18" and one at 20". I wish they were both 18".

Bought my first T3X last fall in 6.5 creed, used it for 2 MT antelope and 2 PA whitetail. Became a big fan and just recently picked up the roughtech in 308. Only have one box through the roughtech so far but looks promising, the creedmoor loves 143 eldx's.

That’s great feedback! I was leaning towards 20 for a couple extra FPS. Does chopping an additional two inches far out weigh the extra 50FPS? @Antares?

13 year old after he killed his 1st bear and rolled the bolt. About 350 yards. Kiddos 1st bull. One of 5 bulls killed with this rifle in the last 4 seasons.
About 550 yards. Another of the 5 bulls.

T3X 300 Win Mag, with the verticle grip. Zeiss V4 4-16×44. I painted the factory stock. Handloaded 180 grain accubonds.
