Tikka in PRS/Nrl hunter/etc

5 round factory mags would be less of a hindrance in NRL than in PRS. Ideally you're only shooting 4-6 rounds per stage in NRL. PRS stages are typically 10 or 12 rounds and are more time sensitive in regards to shooting process.

I was squadded with a guy shooting a factory 6.5CM roughtech at a PRS match with 5 round factory mags. Seemed like he had fun and he certainly hit some targets, just know that less than a 12 rd mag is going to be a limitation for PRS matches.

With factory pattern bottom metal, Waters is the way. Having an AICS pattern is certainly preferrable. I'm not sure if there are mag extensions for CTR mags to get them to 12 rounds? AI is a better mouse trap IMO.

I won Brownfield NRL Factory (tied for 1st Overall but lost on power factor) with 5 round mags. BUT mag changes really hurt me at other matches where I was fighting for hits a little more. I won Kansas NRL Factory and 1st overall with the 10 round Mamba mags. Functioned good, but super long and severe cut in cartridge overall length that can affect load development options. Not great options either way.

I bought myself the waters mag for my 25 prc build. The factory mags definitely feed smoother then it, or the mdt 12 rd aics mags I use in my 6.5 creed tikka ctr in a krg xray (id recommend those for an aics mag tho)

I got the 8 rd 300 mag for waters. I needed to get pretty active with a file to get it to present the round properly. But thats what I get for running a 25 prc in a 300 mag mag I guess.

It also started sticking on me at the nrl last weekend. Never didn't feed. But a lot of times it would bind up when I was loading it. Then I needed to bang it and shake it to get the spring to free up.

I need to clean it. Got some dirt in there I think.

But yeahhhh... if you want to play prs, you need 12 boolets.

I found ordered 2 mamba mags from PT&G.
Hopefully, they come through. I have not heard good things about PT&G recently.
