I’m setting up a Tikka .223 for my girlfriend using Sports Match TO84 rings. First time using these so want to make sure I’m looking at this right.

What hole in the receiver are you guys using for the ring with the pin in the bottom?

Has anyone had any issue with the pin not fitting in the two smaller holes?EB381DAF-4396-480C-9A9D-9F7D16A1011B.jpeg

Just went through this. I used the larger one and pushed the pin as far forward as possible and with some force. It’s a roll pin but I don’t think it was going into those smaller holes.

this video helped. It’s for the sako rings but you get the idea.

Largest hole in the front part of the receiver.

If the pin is too long, tap it into the ring base a bit further.

Apply forward pressure to the ring with the pin when tightening.

Follow this process:

Thanks guys. I just assumed that it was going to fit one of the smaller holes but I don’t think there’s anyway that’s going to happen.

Plenty of options for positioning the rings, I don’t use the pin provided because I like the front ring further forward
I put a pin at the back C838C99A-BDA4-4FA1-B41D-FDB670CF8329.jpegF6574125-C9D7-4AE6-8021-7231B8E9B7C2.jpeg3168275C-F573-40FA-822E-F6AFD3C7D95A.jpegC9ECC946-EA63-4925-AB0A-7C3B9E3C3B11.jpeg

It is a pin cut from a 3 mm drill, used grease in the hole so it will come out if needed, it was a real snug fit
