Tikka 22 cal SBR thread

The tax stamp came back, so my T3 is now a short barreled rifle! I have a 12.5” .223 Wylde barrel and a 14.5” 22 creed barrel.

I am heading to the range this week and will post up initial results and keep updates. I am a convert to short barreled rifles for the vast majority of hunting.

These will pair nicely with the US OG suppressor.

It is. I am plotting a Coues hunt with the 22 creed this year.

Did you ever consider having gunsmith just spot weld a can to short barrel and not going through sbr process?

Yes, only rolling suppressed these days.

I have considered it, and had a pinned and welded QD brake on my AR.

I just swap stuff around too much, but I would absolutely have no problem with something like that to avoid other issues like interstate notice requirements for transportation of an SBR.

I would only do it with a steel suppressor though.

The new Outlier Backdraft barrel system looks like it could be configured like that.

I think that’s where the integrally suppressed barrels shine. One stamp gun.
