LS Wild Armory: any interest in Semi Custom Tikkas?

So anything under 3" COAL is considered short?
Basically, to me yes. I run the Sherman short magnums and they fit in the AICS mags without binder plates. That’s another reason we are doing the 108/109 in the 6 PRC.

Edit to add: 2.96 ish to be precise for in the mags.

Am I the only one that's noticed the BH bulk for sale? Nice.

I'm intrigued with this 6NSI. Need more information.

@hereinaz and @NSI , if you guys can get a 6prc or 6nsi easy button prefit and dies and/or commercially loaded ammo available.... I'm in as soon as I can burn this friggin heavy full length d18 243 barrel out.

Holy crap those are expensive Tikkas.
Yes, I can see from your perspective they are just expensive Tikka. Mine too, cause our budget, goals and idea of fun are different. I know guys who drop coin and they aren’t on Rokslide as much.

But, I think there is huge value even with the expense for a smaller segment of hunters. When you add the value of the components with the service, it’s a bargain.

Final call for first dibs on barreled Tikka. PM me if you are interested. Put Tikka Waitlist in the subject.

I will be reaching out to the waitlist before releasing the list of available options that should ship inside 5 weeks.

I have barrels in 22 and 6 creed, and some in .223.
My FFL is supposed to be in the mail.
Tikka are ordered and will ship to me when I have my FFL.

There’s about 300 of labor and 300 of margin in there. That’s a $1200 scope.

Us cheap folk piece things together "on the cheap" and look at what we save... not what we actually pay. If I actually counted everything I have spent, I would have been far better off to buy one set up.

But, the thing is we like building and tweaking, so the cost for playing is built into our lives.

Yeah absolutely. Ultimately NSI rifles are for precisely the people who don’t read rokslide. They’re not even for me.

Funny, I am planning on making my own NSI style Tikka so I can test my barrels. I am going to bond a Tikka to a chassis and bond on the rings/scope as well. I want no other variables.

I will probably do it with a hunting rifle as well. I can't bear to do it to all of them though, because of the way I am incapable of leaving a rifle alone.

Oh, I’m not arguing that and I hope it takes off. I just don’t see a huge market for $4-5k Tikkas.

What stock is that on the website? Is it a Peak44?

I've always wondered why rifles weren't. Are there any negatives to doing this, other than not being able to swap stocks easily?
The negative is that it is permanently bonded, the only sure way to remove it is to destroy the stock.

Other than that, it’s the ultimate for precision.

Good bedding can almost reach it. But, experience and evidence for repeated precision is becoming clearer that zero shifts are a result of many tiny details.

I didn’t believe, but am becoming convinced. Won’t do it to all, but I will for my “must be on” hunting rifle.

All the creative on the website is pre-launch mockup. That’s a wildcat carbon stock. Production models will be on a specially specced REDACTED and I’ll leave it there for now since I’m not a sponsor here. Will have more to say in 2 months.

I like this concept a lot. My only question is about the quality of PBB barrels vs the 3 Bs?

I have a new 280 AI barrel coming because my 280AI PBB barrel came with a SAAMI min chamber that makes it hard to reload for and I never know if factory ammo will chamber.

Having said that, the rifling and finish looks good and I can shoot it 1MOA (I am not the best shooter).

Extra double holy crap! They still have the factory tikka barrels 😂 and I thought Gunwerks rifles were ridiculous.

1) Gunwerks charges $12k for a rifle and scope with known reliability flaws and a ballistics package. $4k seems better.

2) This rifle is not for you, or me, or anyone else who reads Rokslide and is comfortable putting the group's recommendations into practice. There are instructions on the blog for DIY replication for a reason.

3) We are both members of Rokslide, which means we have more in common than most. While my business will never hurt you, your comments will live on the internet forever, and could indeed hurt a fellow hunter. Please think about the person behind the small business.

I've attached the costs to replicate without my industry discounts - hopefully this helps you understand what's actually being sold.

Best,
-J

I get the possibility and fun of derision and mockery, this is the internet—so right back at ya brotha. 😇 I thought the 30/06 Fudds were ridiculous, but wow, extra double holy crap you don’t have much of an imagination.

I told @NSI that I thought Roksliders would get it, even if it is not for them. Try harder. 🤓

There is smart value built into it, and they will cost accordingly. We all know the factory barrels shoot. And, if they are proven in an NSI, what is the actual problem? Just that they are expensive?

Happy Easter
