I can't see them refunding the money for all the non res tags already collected.

If they don’t refund money they better refund preference points, but I doubt they close the season and hey I already have the tag, will they close all border crossings to keep NR out?

I’ll be back in CO this September (1st time back in 5 years).

I’m not too worried about CO closing down season (yet), but I am getting anxious about a scenario where I’m on day 2 of a 10 day trip, spiked out with my 2 hunting partners 5 miles deep into the wilderness and just getting into elk... when I get a message on my inReach from my wife that she and/or my kid have tested positive for Covid and are having symptoms and I have to break camp and head home. . I’m not worried that either will have serious symptoms, but hunt is cancelled either way.

Kids will have been back in school for about 2-4 weeks at that point so I could see it happening...

If you aren't exposed, no reason to go back there with them! I have 2 hunts set and my wife and I have already discussed the different scenarios. If I get it after I'm gone, I stay gone until I'm healed. If they get it while I'm gone, I stay gone until they are healed.

That definitely will be my argument...

Sounds like you need to get the virus while you are off on your hunt.

No, that's actually what doctors are recommending. That's why people have had loved ones pass that they never got to see. People are placed in hotels, you know away from their family. You are supposed to completely quarantine when you get it. You sir can ingest a satchel of Richards.

No, it was closed just as Spring break was starting to peak: mid March is peak season and the resorts were ordered closed on March 14th. Mid March is the money maker in the CO ski industry.
Agreed 100%. I part time bartend at our resort and I was out basically 20% of what I make in a season. And before you ask, I did not take unemployment. My 3 year old daughter is going to inherit enough national debt as it is

Hard to say until it’s closer to season. I would watch hospitalization rates more than case numbers as a barometer. Also isn’t an all or nothing choice. Maybe archery and muzzleloader get through before they start closing.
