It is a "no go" due 1) Ford Foundation being for defunding policy and 2) Ford employees wanting to no longer production vehicles for the police. Thankfully senior management said they'll continue to produce cars for the police but are open to suggestions to appeasing their employees.

The Ford foundation hasn't been a part of Ford Motor Company since the 70"s. As soon as the foundation made such a declaration, Ford Motor Co. came with quick response saying bullshit. As for employees - if you have employees, you have people with different views. Fortunately we have the first amendment that protects our right to free speech, even if we don't agree with it.

If you choose to not buy the product, let it be because you don't care for the product. Ford Motor Co. isn't NIKE and please don't lump them into the same boat.

In full disclosure, I run a Ford - Lincoln dealership in the south and we are all extremely proud conservative people, sprinkled in with some liberals.

Looks like an international harvester. I also have a JK Rubicon and this ford does look like an upgrade in many ways.

The JLs are an upgrade. The JKs really aren’t impressive. I had one. If the engine was better in them it would have been a lot nicer vehicle.

Honest tip of the hat for disclosing your ties to Ford/Lincoln. Not everyone would do that.

I do find it interesting that you state that we have rights and that they should be respected even when there is disagreement, yet you proceed to tell me how to make purchasing decisions.

We still have the right to choose where to spend our money, at least for the most part. Here are some examples. While I love animals, I will not donate money to the Humane Society solely based upon their stance on hunting. I will donate money to SCI because of its stance on hunting. I will go see a movie with Vince Vaughn because of his stance on guns. I will not see a movie with Jamie Foxx due to his stance on guns.

You can reward those who directly or indirectly support your beliefs. Or you can reward those who directly or indirectly do not support your beliefs. I can make my choice and you can make your choice. For now.

I wasn't trying to tell you how to spend your money by any means and I actually encourage people to take stances with their money and hopefully corporations will learn. I was mainly trying to clarify that while the Ford foundation was set up by Ford many many moons ago for the purpose of good; they have no part of Ford Motor Co since the 70's and Ford Motor has admitted that the foundation has be hijacked and doesn't have any similar beliefs that Ford Motor has.

I was also try to point out that we all employ or work with people that have varying views and while we do not agree with them, it is their view. When you employ as many people as a motor company does, you are going to have some people that on the extreme of both sides.

Where as a company like Nike has made open statements that are extremely un-American and continues to do so.

Again, I absolutely support you decision either way, just wanted to clarify Ford's position.

I love the looks of the new Bronceo and will end up owning one sooner rather than later. I have waited a long time to see someone give Jeep some competition!

I like the looks and specs of the top of the line with lockers and 35s... i don't trust the indepent suspension on them... ill stick to my straight axles and v8 in my 95 jeep grand cherokee.. i hope they upgraded the ifs cause my buddy's 19 f150 keeps braking the plastic in front spindles that lock the axles in

I’ve seen several on the road locally. All of them are anemic. Maybe there is a moderately capable version, but I haven’t seen one running around. Ford sure missed the boat on this opportunity.

SUVs...If it doesn't have the ground clearance of a soccer ball, it's a mom minivan. And offering a manual for a real driving experience. I'm not buying, but at least the new age bronc passes both tests.

Have you seen the full size Bronco or just the sport?

Seems to be a play thing that won’t last...per advertising
Reminds me of GMC advertising for their tailgate....who the hell runs out to buy a new truck because the tailgate flips and folds over itself 19 times
I do not trade vehicles every other year and want something that’s going to hang in there with me which leaves my choices very slim

That’s because the sports are only out. A couple full sized dealer dummies or here in Detroit tester vehicles are on the street.

The sport is small, that’s the whole point of it. A small version of the Bronco, like the Bronco 2 back in the day. It’s a car for younger people and it’s a good car for the comparable market.

The full size isn’t small. I have been in one and it felt larger than my 4 door Wrangler that had a 4 inch lift on it.

I turned my reservation in because of towing capacity. At 3500lbs it’s just not enough to tow my boat comfortably.
