The Rokslide 95 (Ruger American 😁)

I’m already in a nice little Ranch in 5.56, but dang if that new Gen 2 Ranch Patrol isn’t appealing. I particularly like the heavier barrel with no flutes, and no muzzle brake. And black cerakote on a black stock looks good. I’d likely mount an Arken LH-4.

I had not seen this particular model before and I don’t even have the Timney in my G2 22cm yet, but I guess I have to order one of these now…looks nice! Thanks for posting šŸ¤

The brake has wrench flats. I've taken 3 of them off with a cresent wrench only. They are only on there with 30 to 40 foot pounds. Just enough you can't break it free with your bare hands.

That would have been good to know. The heat gun only took a few minutes though, and I didn't want to mess something up.

The poor man's precision rifle doesn't suck.

The only issue after one range session is that the bolt doesn't want to close on an empty Pmag. Zero issues with aluminum GI mags or Lancers, and I have a bunch of 10 round Lancers.

I had that issue with an ar mag once. I was told that the magazine just needed some break in. It must have been true because after shooting 40-60 shots through it, it never did it again.

My 5.56 Ranch seems to get along well with the AAC 77g OTM. One shot, dialed correction, then this 9.

It's nice when everything is working as it should.

It sounds great with my Polonium on it, and I'm re-thinking replacing the stock. OEM appears more than adequate for intended use.

Huntsman is a bad influence though, and it will get a Jard trigger. I'm going to wait until I can try the Duramag flush fit magazines before thinking about converting to AICS.

Looks good, how does it balance out with the suppressor?
