The Rokslide 95 (Ruger American 😁)

I have a Ruger American that I did a "pin and weld" suppressor mount on that has accounted for a couple bears. I'll have to get a better picture later but it brings the oal length down to about K can length while still being more or less hearing safe with a longer suppressor. I'll probably SBR it once the $200 tax goes away. Very accurate.

Curious if anyone knows how it does in snow compared to the Ruger Hawkeye? Don't believe that has been tested lately. I have a late hunt that could involve snow.

Killed some stuff since, and really like the MDT...

So much so, I've got another inbound for the new 6ARC.....

already have some of the other parts for her.

I'd really like one of these, but it will take the rifle to ~9.5 lb. I kind of like it at sub 8.5 lbs. I already have several other rifles that are all around 9.5. It would be nice to have at least one that is light 😂. @huntsman22

That looks like a Triji 1-4 in Talleys? I was going the same direction. What height are those ring mounts, look about as low as you could go?

Yes it's a Trijicon 1-4 in low mounts, Warne if I recall. I trimmed the stock down a bit and used a single stack 450 Bushmaster mag which works better than normal 308 mags.
Overall I like it but I think I'll switch the RA to more of a hunting rifle with a 3-9 scope. I moved the 1-4 Trijicon over toy Ruger Scout rifle for guiding. I just feel like the M77 platform is a tad harder to break.

Have you had issues with the RA? Or just a gut feeling?

No issues just a gut feeling that the m77 Hawkeye action and trigger might be a little bit harder to break

My M77 Mark II trigger was tough all right…tough to pull! They called it the lawyer proof trigger. An aftermarket spring brought it down to 5+ lbs. It’s currently at my gunsmith getting a hone job in hopes of landing closer to 3.5 lbs.

View attachment 842932My Go Wild RA! 6.5CM, 16" barrel, topped with a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x.

I use it here in Alberta when the hunting pressure is heavy and all the critters are hiding in the thick stuff.
I know it's an older post, but how do you like the Strike Eagle on there? Been considering an LPVO for another RAR in 5.56

Predator Gen 2, 6 ARC. Picked up recently. Seekins rings and Vortex Viper 2.5-10 junk scope. The scope was a take off. I really was looking for a Howa, but this fit the bill. The target is just the last 4 shot from sighting it in. It's a hell of a fun round to shoot!

My second MDT stock won't be here until Monday, but the Woox Wildman I ordered for the Grendel came today. So I stuffed the 6ARC into 'er instead. After dinking around with it, I actually prefer it over the MDT. So I'll drop the Grendel into the MDT when it gets here instead. Can't wait to whomp an elk with the little 6.....

Is that a Jard trigger?

Do you like the flat shoe?
Wife had one in here RA 22 and it worked really well.
I’m considering one for my 22 ARC. Thanks.
