The Rokslide 95 (Ruger American 😁)

I bet that sling has been around a while. 😁

Jim Crumley is a genius!

That sling was in a box of used slings in a gun store. I think I gave $10 for it. I’ve had it about ten years, but it’s probably 30 years old.

RA 30.06 did a hydro dip in KUIU verde. The shop does 4 layers of polyurethane afterwards. It stiffened the stock up quite a bit.

Topped with an sig whiskey 4 2.5-10 with the illuminated dot in the crosshairs. Helped with a bear hunt (not black on a black background)

Pay no attention to all the crap on the table.

I ended up putting my Ranch 223 back into the OEM stock. I had an outlier chassis/rail ordered and paid for, but after two weeks I never heard anything about a shipping notice. I contacted them and still didn’t hear anything. After three weeks I canceled my ordered and they responded within hours. It’s only slightly aggravating but it is what it is.

If anyone is interested in a KRG bravo for their ranch rifle, let me know and we can make a deal.
still have the krg?

Anyone have a gen2 in 6arc? How does it shoot? I'd like a 6arc for training purposes, but really don't want to drop $2k on a Tikka build. Could drop an American into a mdt timbr chassis and be done at or near a $G

You could do a howa 6 arc barreled action from brownells...stock of choice...etc. You'd be around the 1G mark that way too...just for consideration...

Not trying to derail this awesome thread...

I should just tear down one my zermatt origins and throw an arc barrel on that truthfully.

I’m usually not a fan of dipped stocks but this looks great. Good to know it stiffened the stock too.

I didn’t take notice of all the stuff on the table, but once you mentioned it I went back and looked at it all…haha.

Thanks brother. I appreciate it. Yea. The stock did stiffen up. I am thinking of dropping a Timney trigger in it. Right now it is all stock… except the stock

For those of you you with Gen1 .223s, how does the barrel handle heat? Awful good deal on a few used Gen1 .223s at my local Scheels.

I’ve done a full 30 round mag through mine as fast as I could work the bolt with no issues.
55 grain AE into about a 3ā€ group.

I’ll see if I can find a picture of the group this evening.

Mine works good when hot and cold. I usually only shoot it 20-30 times per session.

For those that don't know, Magpul started shipping their Hunter Lite stock/chassis for the R700. They are saying the RA one is dropping soon. It's up on their website just not showing in stock yet. 2.4 lbs and 220 bucks. Slim and light, mlok for arca on the bottom, and built in aics mag setup. Should be the answer a lot of people have been looking for.
