Is there something wrong with the Ruger American stocks from MDT?

Strikes me that what is needed is a "rokstok" and pmag or ICAR or AICS compatible bottom metal. Stocks (and purchase price creep) really holding back this platform.
Are the RAR actions scaled? If so, how many sizes are there?

Are you referring to the field stock? If so its an improvement over factory but the ergonomics are meh.Is there something wrong with the Ruger American stocks from MDT?
If she likes the M70, why not (1) give it to her and buy something new for you or (2) buy her a Featherweight or your version in .223 or .243?
Btw - I love my Howa Mini 6ARC with a 20" CF barrel and the following stock. It is very handy and accurate.

Indiana requires a minimum .243 caliber for deer hunting so I bought her a Ruger American in .243.
Now this, in the hunting regulations released recently, starting this coming season "Provides that, for a hunting season beginning after June 30, 2025, ............................. a hunter may use a rifle chambered for a centerfire rifle cartridge that fires a bullet that is at least five and fifty-six hundredths (5.56) of a millimeter in diameter or larger to hunt deer." I've been wanting that rule change for some time and even contacted the DNR requesting it, Wish they would've done it before I bought the 243. With medical issues and home repairs hitting us lately I don't see any new rifles arriving to our home before this coming season, but I plan on a couple of fast twist rifles being here before next years season, either 223 Remington, 22 ARC or 6mm ARC.. I'm intrigued by the 22 and 6mm ARC rounds, but I have thousands of rounds of practice ammo for the 223/556.

Looks like it fixes the bore height to shoulder contact issue that the factory drop creates. What was the purpose of the recoil pad alteration? Length of pull or some other function?

Your rifle will not be winning any Beauty Pagents, but man I really appreciate the DIY.Final form of my RAR gen 2
I guess it could be a Rokslide 96 because of the tikka grip
Believe the stock is 33oz as shown. Ergonomically liking the grip and butt pad as much as a Bravo stock, and carries in the hand much better than one
Tikka grip trimmed and epoxied in. Butt is altered with pine 1x2, Krazy Glue, and Tikka Limbsaver. Pic rail is an extra I had laying around.

Ruger American AR Pattern Flush-Fit Mags
Duramag SS Flush fit magazine for the Ruger American ranch and predator rifles in 350Legend, 5.56, 400 Legend, 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, 22 ARCdura-mag.com
These were mentioned in another thread.
I wanted to link them here for people who may be looking for something like this.
My DuraMags in my 6 ARC have been great.
These flush fit AR style mags have a COAL of 2.346” per the email I received from them today.
The DuraMags I was referring to were my factory 10 rounders.Bumping this back to the top.
I have the DuraMag flush fit for 223 Ranch and I bought flushfit for my neighbors 350 legend. Both work flawless in our rifles giving great options for a mostly smooth bottom for hunting. I too prefer the AR style to AI in these rifles and th DuraMag is a great option!
so you actually were able to catch the 6ARC/6.5 Grendel in stock? Since I have been watching DuraMags website, they have not been in stock and also show coming soon. Good to know they actually have made some for that chambering. I’ll keep on watching!
I keep chasing the DuraMag FF for my wife to use in her 22 ARC as the 10 round mag is a little uncomfortable when the rifle is sling carried. Not sure when they will come back into stock and there is no way to get notifications or backorder. The DuraMags I was referring to were my factory 10 rounders.
Alluding to the fact that the flush mags should also be good. Kinda confusing on how it was phrased. My fault.
I shot Stocky another Pm asking about the viability of a CF RA stock. Haven’t heard back but in April he said it was in the works but they had a lot of stocks in R&D.I shot my Tikka .223 and my old Ruger ranch .223 yesterday.
Ruger outshot the Tikka by a bit. It usually does.
Wish someone would make a good hunting stock for it that doesn't cost 2-3 times the cost of the rifle.
No worries. Kinda got excited for a moment! The DuraMags I was referring to were my factory 10 rounders.
