Done, at least I think I did...as the least techie mod on the site hopefully I didn't screw it up! :-)

Thanks again for putting thus together Mike, and for the awesome outpouring of support from the Rokslide community. I am continually amazed by the incredible people here. Even in the face of tremendous hardship, God is good and yes He works miracles...often in ways we aren't expecting.

Still thinking of and praying for you and your family Micah...

Great job mike, will be sending my donation your way and want to share this on FB, is there anyway we can set up the first post to show what is all up for raffle, the cost of a ticket, how it is drawn and when. I have a lot of non-hunting friends that have a short attention span ;)

Thank you so much for the outpouring of generosity!! My wife and I are tremendously blessed to be a part of this community. She and I have cried a couple of times reading through the messages and seeing the kindness and blessing sent our way.

OK everyone got a quick update for you...
I've been in discussion with a few other members about pooling all of the donated gear together and running the raffle for an extended period then drawing out of all the raffle tickets for all the gear. More winners and hopefully more entries this way and would allow people to enter more than once.

*ALSO*
PAYPAL email me this morning and said I may be in violation of their use policy in regards to the policy specifically saying
"Also under the Acceptable Use Policy, PayPal may not be used to send or receive payments for activities that involve an entry fee and a prize, such as raffles, drawings or lotteries. Due to applicable laws and industry regulations, we do not offer approval for these types of transactions."

So I need to figure out another method of entry. We might be able to use the GoFundme.com website setup so far and if ya'll can figure out how to take screen shots of the confirmation page and send to me...? Thoughts?

Since we are not really purchasing a product, why don't we send checks or money orders to you Mike? PayPal is designed to protect buyer and seller, but in this case we are donating, so we don't really need that kind of protection.
 
I plan to get in on the action, just waiting to hear the best way to go about it!

Don't know if Ryan and Robby would be willing to run it through the Rokslide store but that would probably be the best option since they are already set up to receive credit cards. I've looked into a couple other options but haven't found a good solution yet other than the Rokslide store.

Longer on the raffle would be better to raise more funds unless you are going to raffle items separately to raise money individually, then a week or so would be sufficient.
 
Easiest thing for everyone but Mike would probably be to make out checks or money orders directly to Micah and send them to Mike. He can do the raffle and ship the checks to Micah in one mailing. If a few of us send out some micro brews to try to ameliorate organizational efforts, he may not mind being "volunteered"...hopefully.

Appreciate your efforts Mike and your generosity.
 
Mike! It's confirmed on my side. I will be donating a brand new ranger 1000 range finder. I'm still waiting for confirmation from the party that may donate as well. I'll let ya know as soon as I hear back.
 
Mike if there is a way for me to help let me know. I was thinking a separate bank account would work, but I will not be back home until Wednesday. We see a specialist tomorrow morning and will then be heading home. I will look into it Wednesday.

The BEST solution we have right now is donating through the GoFundMe.com website! Once you donate there, send me a PM/email with a screen shot/picture if possible with your name, screen name, and how much you donated and when.

Gonna ask ya'll to use some integrity with this method as it'd be easy for someone to falsify info for entries... If something seems fishy we will confirm with Gofundme.com

ALL OTHER ENTRIES UP TILL THIS POINT whether it's been via paypal or otherwise have been counted and documented. From here out we are using the Gofundme.com website. Thank you!

reading through this thread i decided a couple things. one i need to figure out something to donate and two i gotta lighten the mood a bit. so im donating Brock, kid is an animal. need camp packed in- Brock. need animal packed out-Brock. dishes need doing-Brock. weird fetish stuff...well just don't let him tell you no, you won him after all. haven't worked out all the logistics but there ya go. you outta sell some tickets now ;)

Here is the Gofundme http://www.gofundme.com/ch0vtc Best way to do it put your userid on Rokslide as your name on gofundme when you do the donation or use your facebook to connect that way we can put your name here with your name on the fund. Let me know if you guys have any questions. The Gofundme only accepts credit cards unfortunately so if all you have is paypal and you want to put in entries you can paypal me or Mike and we can submit your entry. We are up to 7665$ thats all off donations from friends family and the networking Ive worked for. So anything additonal from here will be all you guys and what you put in for the raffle. All proceeds accept what gofundme charges for their take go to Micah, CB and their family. Micah has complete control over the fund now also.
