My PBB 22 creed barrel showed up 10 weeks after ordering. Lead time was projected at 10-12 weeks.
16", .120 FB, 1:7tw, 1/2x28 threads. 1lb 14oz.
It replaced a 243 barrel on a T3X. The action is about a year old. Removal sucked but I expected it. I couldn't get my barrel wrench to grab the barrel. Tried leather, rubber, etc. In the end it took a pipe wrench with a 3' cheater bar, a big steel hammer and 2 guys to turn the barrel threads. No corrosion once removed, just something that appeared to be thread sealant or anti-sieze. Absolutely ridiculous how tight it was. Scrapped the 243 barrel but that's fine.
Started with Alpha LRP brass, CCI 200 primer, 88 ELDMs and H4350. Worked from 38-40.5 without any bolt lift or ejector marks, primers were flatter as I increased. I settled on 39.5.
COL 2.716, 2.146 ogive.
First 10 round group was 1.18" at 100, 2862 fps average.
I switched to 4831sc. Was running out of case capacity at 43 grains and still 100fps slower so I parked that powder. Primers indicated less pressure than the H4350. Accuracy didn't seem significantly better in the 5 increasing loads I shot.
I also bought a box of Hornady Precision Hunter 80 eldx for science. I shot a 5 round group that was very close to the 88 eldm reloads. I didn't measure it on the target, just inspected through my scope. Average velocity was 2866.
I loaded 50 of 39.5 H4350 for now. Should have those burned up in the next week or 2.
