Wait what? My backorder was put in 12/28. Not shipped yet.

Mine was 11/15, so that could be why? Seems like it takes them a while to get orders going once they have product, as my 3-9s didn't ship until at least a couple days after others' in the last wave of shipments.

It's been reported that yes it was discontinued and backorders cancelled. Those that had previously sent theirs in for warranty were offered refunds or other product. Supposedly a new version is coming.

So did Butler Creek fix the eye caps from breaking so easily? Back when they changed the plastic and they started breaking with no effort I quit using them. Have they improved since then?

HD is a splined shaft. With a single screw in the center. All the screw does is hold the cap on, twist tension is on the splines.
Classics are a smooth shaft with tension screws around the shaft, and the twist force is from screw tension.

Gotchya, so it the post thicker or thinner than the 3-15? I’m just trying to figure out how the zero stop shims would differ between the two models other than maybe the outside diameter as I’ve read the 3-9s turrets aren’t as big.
