Haha yea .. the interpretations of that vary a lot. I am not in coastal rainforest but it occasionally is pretty thick. However, not so thick that I can imagine accidentally getting closer than 50 yards without the animal spotting me and bolting or me spotting the animal and having time to put it in the scope.I think people have much different definition of what "thick woods" is. That picture above is hilarious to me.
When hunting the coastal rainforest 4x is more than I want. 2 or 3x on the bottom end is what I prefer.
