I picked up a Swaro 8x rangefinder on a whim last week. I wasn’t able to dig up much info on it as Swaro discontinued manufacturing it a little while ago. Anyone here own one or use one in the past? If so, what are your thoughts?

Thanks!!!!!

  • Adjustable push-in eyecup, allows glass-wearers a full field of view and can be removed for cleaning.
  • Compact, ergonomic and lightweight range finder design.
  • Swarovski Range finder weight with batteries: 13.65 oz (386 g).

  • Range finder LCD display with aiming circle for rapid target acquisition.
Time flies but as best I can recall it was discontinued without a replacement unit about 10 years ago

I have owned one for about 8 years now. Bought it used and it still works great. there are none of the bells and whistles that all these new ones have but it is a good solid range finder if you are just looking for range.

Great rangefinder...optics are awesome... my only real complaint was battery life...

Very easy to bump the range button and turn it on... always wanted spare batteries!

I like mine, typical Swaro glass. The only negative is the extremely long cycle time to range once you hit the button compared to more recent units. RF technology has come the way of the flat screen TV, what you can get for $150 now bests many of the top end units of a decade ago.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The optics are pretty impressive. I'll make sure to keep extra batteries if I decide to hang on to it.
