Hi everyone! New guy here on the forum.

I've decided to buy a new set of rangefinding binos. Currently have a set of NL Pure 12's that I love but I am willing to sacrifice a bit on glass and move to something with a built in rangefinder.

Originally I was just looking at the new EL Range 12's that came out as I would like to stay with the 12 power. However, I've been shooting alot more long range rifle matches lately and expect to continue to do so. Two of my buddies bought some Vector X 12's and have been very impressed with them. I've used them and having the ballistic info for matches would be awesome but isn't really necessary for hunting. I can do what i need with my ballistic app on my phone and a dope chart. My biggest hold up is the glass. The glass is pretty good in the Vector X's but its not Swaro glass. There is smaller drop to the EL Ranges compared to the Vector's. I can't afford more than one set of high end binos so I will be selling my NL Pure 12's and buying something else.

My question really is whether the Vector X 12's are good enough for long glassing sessions and whether or not the added ballistic info is worth it over sticking with Swaro EL Range 12's. I leaning Swaro and just bumming info from my friends at matches lol. Just not sure if I will be happy looking thru new binos that aren't Swaros lol. I'm spoiled now. Any input would be appreciated!

What do you prioritize, glass or rangefinding? Match or hunt?

The decision from your post seems pretty clear they it is the EL.

When it comes to hunting, there is no way I would get rid of the NL for the EL. I would add a pair of 8/10x32 Sig 6k. I can’t sacrifice what I want a tool to do…
