This is the first I caught wind of this issue, I got a DD wolf hunter in jail right now so its a concerning thing to hear.
Yeah, sounds like a crapshoot. Going to test mine a little more tonight / this weekend, but likely purchasing another suppressor with more consistency. Looks like you've got an AB Raptor, how're you liking that one? No issues with first round impacts, or accuracy in general?

Like it. I haven’t noticed anything abnormal to date but don’t have a super high round count on it yet and am shuffling it between guns currently. The DD wolf hunter purchase was intended to reduce said shuffling.

Just got approved for a DD STi. Waiting for it to ship from Capitol Armory. This isn't making me feel great about my choice...

I put a lot of rounds thru the Lti without any odd impacts. My high 1st shot impacts are a recent anomaly that I have yet to pinpoint.

Yeah, I'm not sure if mine is a recent development or just something I didn't notice earlier. I was shooting it a lot on a 223 but trying out different ammo, swapping scopes, etc, so the POI was usually shifting at the start of a range session anyway. It was grouping well enough with some ammo once warmed up that I don't know how well I paid attention to first round impacts.

That's super interesting. Do you think it could have something to do with carbon build up throwing something off? Strange for it to become an issue now and not from the beginning.

2x makes every rifle tried shoot terrible. 1x makes every rifle but one shoot badly. We have not worked through it all yet.

I have had a single can, not like a single barrel or muzzle device once or twice. I have never seen multiple cans make multiple rifles shoot poorly.
Is there any correlation with issues and age of the cans? Like older vs new production? Or round counts?

I pulled it off so I could check that later today, provided the wind dies down.

I have an AB Raptor 8-stack that has had a couple thousand rounds run through it and I’ve never seen a first round shot impact shift or any accuracy issues. If I had seen it, I would be documenting it with pictures and communicating that to the company to get them to fix it.

I like the specs and performance figures I’ve seen from DD cans. But the accuracy issues I’ve been hearing might give me some pause about starting the paperwork process on a Wolf Hunter.

My POS banish 30 docent even do that.

Neither does my ultra 7 or my scythe. I have an LTI but haven't used it yet.

They are all new cans.

All-

This behavior is NOT normal or expected with suppressors. The issue I/we are seeing with these cans are an anomaly- do not presume or think it is normal.
Good to know. Looking at an AB raptor, the dead air nomads, or a hyperion K if I can find one locally - sounds like I should expect any of those to work as intended? Consistent POI for a bolt-action hunting rifle? Open to suggestions on anything else reliable, relatively light-weight, with good sound reduction.

Hard to beat the scythe right now. I Luke my back ultra 7 too.

I have two enticers, one STi and one Stainless S. The STi has a 1/2 hub for my hunting rifles and the stainless S is 5/8 for some gas guns and target guns.

The STi makes every gun I put it on more accurate, from tikka barrels to proof and bartlein and 223 to 7prc.

The stainless version caused my bergara hmr in 6.5 cm to open up from 0.5-0.7 for 10 with a banish 30 to 1.5-2" with the Enticer S, which is similar in weight. It was immediately apparent after the first 3 shots something was up. Swap cans back, back to a nearly 1-hole gun. Factory ammo.

However, it took my shaw barreled 6arc ar15 from 1.5" with a hux and the banish 30 to 1" with the S. Same for my ruger sfar in 308, tighter groups with the Enticer S than with a hux or banish 30.

I didn't shoot a ton of groups to confirm this and haven't had a chance to do more fooling around, but that was my experience recently.

Take all this with a grain of salt. I'm new to suppressors and don't know ish.

How long have you had yours?

I'm kinda wondering if this is a production issue. Cranking up production since they've gotten popular and QC has dropped because of that? Also strange that haven't heard of these issues from DD until recently. I was excited for mine. Now feels a little like Russian roulette. At least my Hyperion K is solid.

My DD Enticer S doesn’t show any of these problems with my 6.5 prc. In fact my precision has improved with it on vs off, but I think that’s recoil and muzzle blast reduction. I’m hoping to get it on the tikka 223 in a month or so. I’ll report back if I experience any weirdness but I’m not expecting it.
