Suppressor paperwork/tax stamp

I am currently carrying around a photo copy of my tax stamp and suppressor paperwork in a ziplock bag that I move from my gun case, backpack, range bag, etc., but there has to be a better way. I am sure someone out there has come up with something slick that I haven't thought about. What are you guys doing to keep up with your paperwork that might be a good idea to implement?

I try and have a copy in a quality ziplock but also photo them and save to notes on my phone. Good intent and producing a hard copy in a reasonable amount of time should suffice unless unlawful activity has occurred.

So I haven't read the specific rules, but have any of you guys been stopped and questioned about your suppressor and a photo of you tax stamp on your phone has been A-ok?

Never been hassled. If you get asked to show proof of tax paid you've probably done something wrong already. With that said you are doing it right, don't sweat it, law enforcement typically isn't educated nor interested in dealing with NFA stuff. There's your internet advice, now as you eluded, go research for yourself.

I have never been stopped, but I always have a copy in my vehicles, gun case, pack, and photo on my phone that way I always have a hard copy available if they are not happy with with the pictures on phone. The guy who does my transfers is a state police officer and said he would be fine with a photograph and many other officers he works with feel the same, but did say there are some idiots in the department that would demand the hard copy

Never been hassled. Copy on my phone is my primary and I also have a paper copy in my glove box.

Multiple photo copies of suppressor and sbr stamps: glove box, range bag, mini tool kit, etc.
Bottom line is I never want to be without a copy somewhere within easy reach. I've dealt with LEO's on several occasions where my nfa bits were on full display and they didn't give rip. Were more interested in tech details than anything and my impression after years of use. That said, it only takes one unprofessional LEO to ruin your day. That or you already broke a law(s) and they are looking for add-on charges.

Photo copies are cheap and easy to put everywhere.

I like the ziplock bag idea but I have it on my phone. Never ran into a problem though.

I just made like 20 copy’s and try and keep them with me everywhere

I’ve been google searching and I found a neat idea...looks like a lot of folks go to fedex/kinks copy type places, shrink down the paper work on index size cards and then laminate them. I’m going to try that and make a few cards to stash in places.

You would have to really mess up to have this be an issue. My 22 can lives in my truck.

Paper is cheap and pics on your phone are free.

I might add that I live in Idaho and we are still free here. haha

I have shrunk down copies in every gun case/range bag/vehicle I own.

I got stopped (speeding on the hwy) about a year ago by a rookie in Waco that just about had a seizure. I ended up in cuffs asking for a supervisor before I had a chance to show paperwork or even get my DL out of my wallet. Supervisor showed up and cleared the issue up for me, dropping the speeding ticket in the process. Shouldn’t have been speeding, but I sure was glad I had hard copies

I have them on my phone and go the ziplock route as well. My hard copies are shrunk down originals, where 2 pages are shrunk to fit onto one page in landscape orientation.
