Suppressor for 6mm and 223

The Dead Air Nomad Ti XC is a pretty impressive can. It's slightly shorter (with direct thread) and a tad lighter then the TBAC Ultra 7 but is as quiet as the Ultra 9. It is a larger diameter suppressor at 1.76 vs 1.5 on the TBAC Ultra 7&9 though.

I don't really know that smaller end caps help all the much, when the bore diameter is still larger, but the DA Ti XC has interchangeable end caps for smaller calibers also.

I have a 6.5 ultra 7. It's fine on a 223, but having got used to my nomad L, i was actually surprised by how loud it was shooting a deer this week.

Once you get used to the large diameter L cans (they're really all pretty similar) it's hard to go back.

I chop all my barrels to 16 and don't need terminal range past what they can do so length doesn't matter to me.

Another vote for Otter Creek Labs Polonium. I love mine on 223 - super quiet and not too heavy.

Tried my polo k on an 18" 223 bolt gun yesterday for the first time. Only other can i've used on that rifle is a 30 cal ultra 7 and the polo k was definitely a little louder but i was impressed by it for a little 4 baffle can. I need the U7 on other rifles until i add to the can collection and dont have any concerns with using the polo K on that gun for a while.

To be clear I have the 5.56 full size. Should work well with my new 243 also...

My banish Backcountry kinds of sucks and my Banish 30 gold yeeted itself down range. Fighting with them now on warranty...

Maybe check with AB to see if they do a 6 or 6.5 hole in the raptor. I’m very impressed with the 5.56 raptor. TBAC is always a solid choice otherwise.

My OCL Polonium does a nice job on my bolt action .223 and bolt action 6mm ARC. It is light enough, but not ultralight, and does very well on suppression. It was a nice combo of price and capability to 6mm.

What don't you like about your Backcountry?
It's loud and recoil reduction isn't great. I haven't compared to a Scythe or anything similar, and perhaps that's just how it goes when you try to go light and small...

It does keep shots with my 6.5 Creed from ringing my ears, but I bet an OCL Hydrogen K does a much better job for a similar price.

I talked with them a few weeks ago and the 22 can also works for 6mm. They're not doing a 6.5 anymore because it wasn't enough different from a 30 cal hole.

They also can't sell you an end cap anymore because of the ATF, although just about everyone else can. Sounds like the ATF has fiefdoms going on making things up as they go.
So...... does anyone else sell end caps with the same thread pitch as the ab raptor?

I've been looking for a bit and finally my local shop today told me that Thunderbeast has said minimum 16 months before they release any more and there's no list to get on to wait.

Do you have a decibel number you can share for the Dead Air Nomad Ti XC? I've been looking but can't find a solid number. That's more than I want to spend but if it's truly quieter than a TBAC 9 then I'm much more interested

The KGM r6 is one that seems interesting as well.
I saw one of these at my local shop today and it's very appealing, only $745. Have you heard one before? Anyone else have experience with this can?

Another vote for polonium from OCL. You could consider the Lazarus 6 from Dead Air. Both those cans are 6mm bore so it does limit how much you can move them around. The raptor 8 would be a good choice too. It’s a 30 cal can. I have an A-10 on a 243 and it sounds great.

I haven't. Don't think they are going to win any suppression awards but have seen guys on the hide saying they perform very well on recoil reduction with the brake holes open for what they are.

You can order the raptor cans in different bore diameters also. 223, 6.5, 30, 338 and 375 i believe
