6mm arc - suppressor

Go to your dashboard on SS, then go to “orders”. It should say “pending ATF” there.

From SS on Thursday:
Your SOT receives the suppressor and enters it into the SS system. Once that is done, it will show up in your SS login. You add tax stamp and trust, then pay.

Just logged in, says ready to certify. That mean I'm good?

Eh, just looked and still waiting on ATF approval. I guess back to the gun store?

"Ready to certify" means that you still have one more step before your paperwork is submitted to the ATF for approval. Your gun shop will reach out to you and you will have a web call (or you will have to go to the shop) where you will have to log into your ATF account and put in your pin. The dealer will do the same and then it is submitted.

Also, your stuff will not show up on the ATF e-forms stuff as your paperwork is submitted by the gun shop, not you.

I put my omega 300 on mine the day I got it and put probably 20 rounds through it, to me it sounded like an air nailer, wicked quiet.

Just watched a video SS sent me on certification

Did I make PIN when I set up my ATF log in? I can’t remember!
Anyway to check ?

Week 1 in the books - nothing yet.

So I go to the ATF site and there’s nothing there under any of the side tabs.
My SS page says everything is complete, does that mean they have or have forwarded my paperwork work to the ATF?
Won’t ever show up in your account. Only the dealer who sold it to you. Stupid, but that’s how eforms works.

Shop called today and said I am approved.
I can get the can anytime! 😁
Email from the ATF stating the same with PDF formage with tax stamp.
So I purchased the AB on June 3, and it’s all done and mine on June 23.
20 days with a trust

Weird thing is, there is nothing on my SS dashboard yet.

So, now I’m hooked and haven’t used the first one yet 😆
Looking at the S2H next

We finally got to the range with wife's RA Ranch G2 6 ARC and her OC Polonium K for some shooting. Have to wear ear pro but as far as we can tell the sound is great. Sounded less loud than my other rifles with larger more expensive suppressors.

Yeah I’ll start with my over the ear protection and see if I can go to plugs.

Finally made it to the shop to pick the suppressor up today.
Anything, tips, tricks I need to know mounting, and sighting the rifle?
Do you all just leave it in all the time? I have 1 case that will fit it with the can on.
What should I use to remove a hot can? Plan on an LS Wild sleeve for it

I leave mine on all the time and don’t use a case. I haven’t flew with a rifle since I started using suppressors so haven’t really needed a case yet. I do use leather rifle scabbards on horses or hung from the back of the side by side sometimes.

The LS covers are great. That’s all I use now. A friend needed something quick and had some header wrap. He used that on an ultra 7 and it works great too.

As far as sighting in you’ll be close just adjust your scope as needed. I’m not real sure how far off you’ll be because on all of mine but one they were cut threaded and then shot supressed. I have one ctr that was zeroed and with the can I was a couple inches low at 100. Maybe an inch I can’t remember exactly.

On your 6mm ARC Ruger American you should have 5/8"-24 threads under your muzzle brake. You will need a wrench to go on the flats of the muzzle brake to take it off the first time. Your suppressor end cap should be threaded 5/8-24 and just thread on up to the shoulder and seat it hand tight.

I do not store mine on the firearm. I switch my suppressors between guns depending upon what I am shooting that day. I have one that is 5/8-24 and I can use a small adapter to use on a 1/2-28 barrel and another that had the end cap changed to 1/2-28 and is used only on rifles that are threaded 1/2-28. I transport the suppressor in the original box with the ATF tax stamp under the foam insert and another electronic copy on my phone.

In my experience, suppressors don't get that hot while being used on a bolt action rifles unless you are doing extremely long strings of fire and hen your barrel is just as hot as the suppressor. 10 minutes of non shooing (or less) and I can screw off my suppressors and put them away. Suppressor covers are more for minimizing mirage than for handling them. Again. If you are firing at a rate of speed where you are getting mirage off your suppressor, you will also be getting mirage off our barrel too.

Enjoy your suppressor and shoot more!
