Arrow Insert Glued But Not Seated Correctly

Had to buy arrows and have them cut at a chain store today as the local bow shop is out of my spine. Got home to find glue all over the shaft of a few of them and one with the insert pictured below. Is it okay to shoot or do I need to get them to fix it? I've had inserts pull out to this point but never one glued like this from the start.

It’s not unsafe to shoot but also definitely not the way you want to install it. The insert should be fully seated with the shoulder butted up tight against the shaft. I think it’s fair to ask the store to replace that particular arrow.

I personally wouldn’t raise a stink about excess glue. Again not ideal, but it should come off with some scraping/sanding and maybe a little acetone.

Thanks for the info. I usually only have to question things i break. Think I'll just make it a grouse arrow at this point then and call it good. I'm guessing it was this poor kids first time setting up arrows by himself

I'd go back and tell them they need to make it right.

Or you can pull the nock out and use a drill hit to hammer it out. Then reglue

Well it sounds like I should head to the warehouse tomorrow and see if they'll fix it for me or replace it. Appreciate everyone's input. I knew buying from there would be a gamble but I was in a pinch
