Curious as to how the new latest and greatest 6cyl actually compares to one of the older V8’s
Towing, Power, consumption, cab noise etc

I did have 3 of the previous generation all with the 5.7, those trucks had plenty of power and all 3 were close to 16.5 mpg. They did ride like a truck though, the 2022 i have is a lot smoother and more comfortable ride, everything stock on the hybrid I was at 18.5mpg. Cabin noise i don’t notice a difference

Comparing my ‘23 Tundra to my ‘20 RAM v8, 21 vs 19 mpg, no noticeable loss of power, and it pulls my little camper without any issues. I don’t feel like I lost anything with this v6.

What’s the weight of your camper. I usually don’t tow anything more than my side x side or little John boat but a couple of times a year I’m hauling 3-4 round bales a time .. so around 4k lbs

I towed a 5k trailer cross country last summer and it pulled like there was nothing there. However, there was a huge loss in MPG. I typically get 21-22 straight freeway and I was down to 9 towing which is comparable to what I got in my V-8 Tundra.

3500# dry... Pulled it to/from Flagstaff on I-40 and averaged 13 or so.
